Zoe Maye: Rounding out the cast of Judd Apatow's latest film, Zoe Maye, will be Charlie Sheen (Happy Nuke Year, "Anger Management") and John Cena (Happy Nuke Year, But What Am I?). Sheen will play a strip club owner, while Cena will play an aspiring adult film actor. Jacob Jones penned the original screenplay.
Halo 5: The Halo series will bring back even more returning cast members from previous films for its upcoming fifth entry. Allen Leech (Halo 4, Bohemian Rhapsody), Ben Foster (Hated: The Ballad of GG Allin, Halo 3), Robin Wright (Halo: The Fall of Reach, Halo 4) and Vincent D'Onofrio (Metal Gear Solid 2, Halo 4). They will be joined by James Spader (Don't Hang Up, Pudd'nhead Wilson) as a new addition to the series. Gareth Edwards is directing from a script by Mo Buck script.
The Crucible: Director David Lowery and writer Lon Charles' film based on Arthur Miller's famed play, The Crucible, has added Michael Gambon (The Devil in the White City, Amelie), Mackenzie Foy (Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Kite), Guy Pearce (The Mutation, Paradiso) and Damian Lewis (Swamp Thing, The Queen of the Night) to its cast. Pearce will play Puritan minister Samuel Parris, Foy will play his daughter who becomes part of the witch trials, Gambon will play the judge overseeing the trials, while Lewis will play a minister with knowledge of witchcraft who is brought to Salem, Massachusetts to investigate.
Dragon Ball: The Wrath of the Demon King: Steven Yeun (Mayhem, "The Walking Dead"), Ross Butler ("Rolling Stone", "Riverdale"), Daniel Henney ("Criminal Minds", The Last Stand) and Chloe Bennett ("Drive", "Agents of SHIELD") have joined the cast of James Wan's Dragon Ball anime adaptation. Yeun will play Krillin, Butler will play Yamchad, Henney will play Tien, while Bennett has been cast as Chi Chi. Giovanni Garcia penned the script.
Before and After: Dan Stevens (Booster Gold: Lost in Time, Dark Matter), Bill Skarsgard (High Society, It) and Jane Levy (Dead Space, Steins Gate) have signed on to the cast of Before and After from director David O. Russell and writer Jack Slipter. Stevens will play an undisclosed role, while Skarsgard will play the best friend of Mile Teller's character, and Levy will play the sister of Karen Gillan's character.
Hex: Brad Pitt (Hands on a Hard Body, Shogun) has signed on to headline on a film based on the DC Comics western hero, Jonah Hex. The film will see Hex narrowly escape the Civil War with his life and set out for revenge and a new career as a bounty hunter. Chan-wook Park (Blackbird, Sisters) has signed on to direct the film based on a script by Dwight Gallo (Ypsilanti, "Nez Perce").
