The Roundup with Jeff Stockton (Season 14 Round 8)

Another round is in the books, leaving us with just two rounds left of Season 14. Here's The Roundup....

3. Harrelson
Harrelson flowed well and had a great soundtrack that matched the tone of the film perfectly. The ensemble cast was impressive as well.

2. The Great Beyond

I enjoyed how well the film blended the drama and science fiction genres into something emotional, yet entirely realistic. Despite the poor box office, I imagine the film will be a bit of a player come GRA season.

1. Stephen Dorff
Dorff has always been one of those actors that needs the right roles to shine. Backbeat, Blade, Somewhere - these films gave him the right stuff the play with. Harrelson can be added to that list as he excels at the sleazy criminal.

3. The Arrival
The film kind of felt like it was on auto-pilot. It didn't have original scares or characters and felt all too familiar. The film also had some incredibly questionable casting (Neil Patrick Harris, really?).

2. Box Office
Ouch, talk about a rough round at the box office. All three films lost money for the studio.

1. Box Office
Yes, the box office was so bad that it takes up 2/3 bottom spots. With all three films losing money this round, and Sabbatical Recovery losing money last round, that four films in a row that have ended up in the red.
