Plot: After watching the floor of the Crazy Horse Casino during the casino's opening night, Chief Lincoln Red Crow (Wes Studi) decides to retire to his office. He instructs Shunka (Geno Segers) to keep an eye on things in the meantime. When Red Crow enters his office he finds it trashed and his guard dogs murdered and decapitated. He goes to his safe and finds it empty. Red Crow gets on the phone with Dash Bad Horse (Martin Sensmeier), who has just arrived back at the casino. Red Crow tells Dash to be on the look out for anyone covered in dog blood. Dash is confused by this instruction until he sees Diesel (Kevin Gage) covered in blood exiting the casino.

Dash gives chase after Diesel throughout the parking lot of the casino. Dash finally catches up with Diesel as he cuts through a nearby debilitated rodeo bull pit. Dash tackles Diesel to the dirt in the middle of the pit. The two struggle and fight. Dash gets the upperhand thanks to his speed, but Diesel manages to stab Dash in the arm with his knife and pushes him away. Dash gets up and hits Diesel over the head with a rock, knocking him out. Dash drags Diesel all the way back to his car and takes him to the tribal police station, leaving him in the care of Officer Franklin Falls Down (Eddie Spears). Dash leaves, saying he's going to go tell Red Crow in person that he caught him.

Gina Bad Horse (Tantoo Cardinal) sits in the car still waiting for Diesel to return when her phone rings. On the other end is Catcher (Raoul Trujillo), another of her former Dog Soldier co-horts. He tells her that he has seen Dash's totem and it is a spider. Gina tries to ask what exactly Catcher is trying to explain, but Catcher suddenly hangs up the phone before answering. Gina looks at the time and decides to leave the parking lot, driving back home. She writes a note, leaving it on the front door, that says she will be back in a few days. She then drives away, heading south.

Diesel sits in the cell of the tribal police station when FBI Agent Earl Nitz (Jeff Fahey) arrives and orders Officer Falls Down to turn Diesel over to him as he is a federal fugitive. Falls Down states that he knows that the FBI has no jurisdiction on the rez. Nitz asks for a few minutes of time with the prisoner then in private. Officer Falls Down agrees and goes outside for a cigarette break. Nitz thanks Diesel for acquiring the package for him from Red Crow's office, calling him "Agent Fillenworth". Diesel asks how long until he can get out of jail, and Nitz says his office will be working on it as he can't very well leave an undercover agent like him behind bars.

Gina drives straight through Nebraska without stopping before crossing the border into Kansas. As she continues down the highway, signs for the Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary begin popping up on the side of the road. She takes a deep breath as she pulls her car to a stop in front of the massive federal prison complex.
