Plot: Dash (Martin Sensmeier) and Agent Nitz (Jeff Fahey) are still out in the middle of nowhere discussing the case against Chief Red Crow. Nitz brings up Red Crow's past time as a militant Native activist alongside Dash's mother. Just the mention of his mother causes Dash to tense up. He bristles and tells Nitz that he already is aware of the Dog Soldier Society, the name of the activist organization. Nitz then reminds Dash that one of the Dog Soldiers murdered and scalped two FBI agents 30 years prior. Dash points out that he thought that the feds convicted someone of those murders decades ago. Nitz says they did, but he doesn't buy it and the scalps have still never been recovered. Before they part ways, Nitz tells Dash to continue getting close to Red Crow - if they can get their hands on those scalps they might be able to take Red Crow down.
In need of some positive press after the protest outside of the casino, Chief Red Crow (Wes Studi) sends Dash and Officer Franklin Falls Down (Eddie Spears) to break up another meth lab. When the two officers arrive at the location, they stake out the barn the lab is reportedly in. After a while, Franklin calls over the radio to ask where their backup is. Dash gets out of the car and begins walking toward the barn, shotgun in hand. He tells Franklin that there's no point in waiting for backup and that they might as well just go in and get the raid over with. Franklin jokes that Dash must have a death wish and hopes he isn't around when it goes down. Franklin counts down and busts open the door. Dash and Franklin find the meth dealers waiting for them. Heavily out-numbered, Franklin is hit in the vest by a few bullets. Dash fires off every shell in his shotgun, before turning the empty gun into a blunt weapon, taking out a couple more thugs with it in brutal fashion. Dash takes cover and pulls out two pistols. Dash runs and slides across a table, shooting in both directions.
Once the gunshots finally stop and the clouds of dust and meth have settled, Dash begins clearly the building when he finds a young man cowering in a corner, Dino Poor Bear (Kiowa Gordon). Dash knows the family name and tells Dino to hurry home to "Granny". Before Dino leaves, Dash stops him for a moment and tells him that this is his one and only chance - if he catches Dino in another meth lab, he'll kill him like all the others. Dino looks around at the half dozen bodies lying dead on the floor. He quickly nods his head and runs away from the barn. Dash hears Franklin coughing and struggling for breath nearby and goes to check on him. Franklin asks if Dash caught any bullets in his vest too. Dash unbuttons his shirt, revealing that he didn't bother wearing one. Dash calls for an ambulance for Franklin over the radio. Dash says that he already knows why Red Crow would want him dead, but asks Franklin if he's on Red Crow's "shit list" as well. Franklin painfully laughs, telling Dash that honest cops don't last long on the rez - Red Crow makes sure of it.
Dash is at a bar watching Carol Red Crow (Jessica Matten) aggressively flirt with a biker. Unbeknownst to Dash, Shunka is watching him from a booth across the bar. Carol excuses herself to use the restroom. As soon as she is out of sight, Dash storms over and slams the biker's head into the bar. Before the biker can even hit the floor, Dash grabs his arm and snaps it behind his back, breaking his arm. Dash tells the biker to get lost before he breaks his other arm as well. Shunka chuckles to himself and pulls out his phone to call Red Crow. Shunka informs his boss that Dash clearly has eyes for Carol. When Carol comes out of the restroom, with a little white powder showing just under her nose, she looks around, confused as to where her date went.
