Season 23 Golden Reel Awards!

Welcome to the Season 23 Golden Reel Awards ceremony. Tonight we will be celebrating the best Last Resort Films releases of the studio's 23rd season. Tonight, half of the studio's releases will be vying for the 14 prestigious awards on the line this evening. The nominees are led by three powerhouse films. Judas Iscariot and The Producer each have 10 nominations, while Poison Ivy: Mind Games is nipping at their heels with 9.

AND NOW FOR THE AWARDS....

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Poison Ivy: Mind Games kicks the night off with the first award. The film is nominated for 8 more awards this evening. The first Poison Ivy film also won this award back in Season 19. That film went on to win 4 total GRA trophies in that ceremony.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

The Producer came into the night tied for the most nominations (10 - tied with Judas Iscariot). After missing out on Best Production Design, it wins for Best Soundtrack. This is the sixth Best Soundtrack trophy won by a Lon Charles-penned film.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

This all-sequel edition of the Most Wanted Sequel Awards goes to Poison Ivy: Mind Games, giving it a quick second trophy on the night. The first Poison Ivy famously didn't even put itself up for consideration in the nominations poll. The night is now finished for Calvin and Hobbes and Grayson, with no more nominations. Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six still has a shot in the Best Adaptation category.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

The House of Romanov takes the Best Ensemble Cast trophy in the first of its three possible categories. Alexander Skarsgard can finally take sigh of relief as this was the 5th time he's been nominated as part of this category and now has his first Best Ensemble Cast trophy. Additionally this is the first GRA victory for long-time LRF writer Ben Collins.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Judas Iscariot finally has its first victory on the evening after missing out in Best Production Design and Best Ensemble Cast. The film came into the night with 10 nominations, so it still has 7 more chances. This is the first Best Starring Couple trophy for each actor, though both have been previously nominated in the category for past films. The night is finished for We Were Never Here, after striking out in its only category.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Poison Ivy: Mind Games has now racked up 3 GRA trophies tonight already. Sydney Sweeney, meanwhile, has once again won the Best Villain GRA for her performance as Ivy after winning it in Season 19 as well for her performance in the first Poison Ivy. All eyes will now obviously be on whether she will duplicate Season 19 and win the Best Actress trophy as well.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Poison Ivy: Mind Games appears to be running away with this ceremony, already winning 4 trophies. This is the second Best Adaptation GRA for writer Roy Horne, previously winning in Season 16 for Excalibur. Poison Ivy: Mind Games still has 3 more chances to add to its awards haul.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Judas Iscariot now has 2 wins tonight. This Best Original Story trophy is the 5th for writer John Malone, though his first as a solo writer. Judas Iscariot still has nominations in every category except Best Actress.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Shailene Woodley now has her second Golden Reel Award, after previously winning for Best Actress in Season 13 for Elysian. The Producer now has 2 trophies this evening after winning Best Soundtrack. It has 4 more chances to take home more gold.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Aidan Turner now has his first individual Golden Reel Award trophy after winning Best Starring Couple earlier tonight and Best Ensemble Cast back in Season 18 for Lowell. This win makes 3 trophies for Judas Iscariot now. It still has nomination in Best Actor, Best Director and Best Picture. The night is finished for Blue Ridge, after striking out in the two categories it was nominated.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Sydney Sweeney has now won 4 Golden Reel Award trophies for playing Ivy in the Poison Ivy films: twice for Best Villain and twice for Best Actress. Poison Ivy: Mind Games adds to its lead, now having been awarded 5 trophies tonight with 2 more nominations left. The night is done for Camp Manhood and The House of Romanov. Haven still has a chance in Best Director and Best Picture (alongside Poison Ivy: Mind Games).

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Tom Hardy wins the Best Actor trophy. This is his 3rd Best Actor GRA after winning for The Prisoner (Season 3) and Crowley (Season 9). Judas Iscariot is now slowly catching up with the trophies won by Poison Ivy: Mind Games tonight.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Jeff Nichols now has won his 2nd Best Director GRA. He won two seasons ago for The Void. Judas Iscariot is now tied with Poison Ivy: Mind Games for the most awards tonight - each with a total of 5 trophies heading into the final category.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....

Judas Iscariot takes home Best Picture, finishing the night with 6 trophies. This is the whopping 8th Best Picture victory for a John Malone-penned film. With those 6 trophies it now has the second most GRA victories of any film, only falling behind the 7 trophies won by The Prisoner - another film penned by John Malone.

Congratulations to all of the winners! That's a wrap on the 23rd season in the world of Last Resort Films.
