Revival: Belont Cameli (The Husband, Along for the Ride), David Morse (Death Dream, Captain Atom), Tracy Letts (Theater Kids, Deep Water) and Aidan Quinn ("Elementary", Blacklight) have been hired to round out the ensemble cast of the latest Stephen King adaptation, Revival. Frank Darabont is directing the film from a script by Chad Taylor.
Nineteen Minutes: Aaron Eckhart (Free Spirit, American Dragon), Melanie Lynskey (The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger, Maximum Max) and Timothy Simons (No Laughing Matter, Don't Worry Darling) have signed on to the ensemble drama, Nineteen Minutes, from writer Joshua Collins and director Matt Ross. Eckhart and Lynskey will play the parents of Alex Garfin's character, while Simons will play a defense attorney who defends a school shooter in court. The film is based on the novel by Jodi Picoult.
Nightwing: Rachel Brosnahan (Revolution, An Honest Mistake), Jimmi Simpson (Grayson, Unhinged) and Kyle MacLachlan (Tesla, Capone) have joined the Grayson sequel, Nightwing. Brosnahan will play Dick Grayson's partner on the Bludhaven police force, Simpson will reprise his role as Macklin Arnot, and MacLachlan will play the chief of police. Sam Hargrave is directing this DC Comics Universe adaptation from a script by Jimmy Ellis.
Believe It or Not!: Mila Kunis (Free Spirit, The Only Good Indians), Rinko Kikuchi (Still Lives, Shogun) and Giorgia Whigham (What We Found, Saving Zoe) have been cast in the Seth MacFarlane helmed and starring Robert Ripley biopic. Kunis will play Ripley's secretary, Whigham will play Ripley's first wife, and Kikuchi will play the keeper of a legendary Japanese statue. Lon Charles penned the film.
The Watsons Go to Birmingham: Mykal-Michelle Harris ("Mixed-Ish", Cheaper by the Dozen), Keith L. Williams (Secret Headquarters, Good Boys), Sunny Suljic (Free Spirit, Drawing Dion) and Loretta Devine (Queen Bees, The Starling) have joined the large ensemble cast of The Watsons Go to Birmingham, which tells the story of a family on a trip from Michigan to Alabama during the Civil Rights Era. Dee Rees directs from a script by Wesley Campbell, based on the novel by Christopher Paul Curtis.
The Long Way Home: Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Krueger, McCain), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Man Made Machine, The Devil's Passage) and Lee Pace (The Vacationers, Halo: The Fall of Reach) will join Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in Cameron Crowe's LRF debut, The Long Way Home. Pace will play the husband of Stone's character and her co-star on a hit 1950's sitcom. Winstead will play their granddaughter, while Abdul-Mateen II will play doorman who develops a close relationship with Stone's character. Chad Taylor wrote the original story.
