The Roundup with Jeff Stockton (Season 32 Round 2)

The DC Comics Universe made a welcome post-Justice League return to normalcy with a new hit to help out Round 2. Here's The Roundup....

3. Box Office
Even with a couple flops, the box office is off to a much healthier start in Season 32 than we experienced last season, with a few hits already.

2. Songbird
I admittedly don't know much about Joni Mitchell or her music, but I think the film did a decent (but not great) job of showing her life and importance for the folk scene. I'm no Swiftie, but Taylor Swift wasn't terrible and looks enough like a younger Mitchell to accept the performance.

1. Red Lantern Corps
I was not at all sure what to expect from this film, but it definitely turned out better than I thought it would be - a good mix of space action, intensity, and even some Guardians of the Galaxy-esque humor.

3. N/A

2. Alex Conn Box Office
The writer is on a bit of a cold streak at the box office with his last films as a writer all losing money at the box office. He's having even worse luck at the box office with his directorial efforts, with seven in a row losing money.

1. A Tale of Love and Darkness
It's never a good sign when you never really get to know the main character in a story. And I have to say that was the case with young Amos in this one. The story covered several years of the boy's life, yet I don't think Conn's film really ever let us get to know its subject. Everything felt disjointed and disconnected throughout the film.
