Plot: Rut Ant (Ian McShane) enters the kings court and tells the king about the defeat of his sister Queen Cruz and his priced warrior Shaun. King Julio (Mark Strong) gets enraged but doesn't show it as all of the court was watching and he doesn't want to show any weakness. He orders Rut to prepare his army to fight this Colony of Ants, He wants his every legion of army to be ready to decimate this people. Julio meets his wife Queen J (Charlize Theron) in private and directs his anger at her which was more because of losing his prized Anteater who have been playing a pivotal role in his previous wars than the death of his sister. J when learns his plan to start another war tries to dissuade her seeing as each war has cost them dear and in the last war they even lost their children but he doesn't heed.
We see our bands of heroes John (Zac Efron) now a commander in Queen Natasha (Selena Gomez) army which is lead by Steve (Dwayne Johnson). They are doing some drills with their new defenses.
Tamiz (Brandon Routh) and Solomon (Doug Jones) return to the main colony after surveying other colonies for new allies and to keep tab on their kingdom. They bring with them Rasp the Wasp (Scarlett Johanson) a new friend who is travelling across the land and was going to stop their for some time.
Tamiz meets the Queen Natasha and tells her that the common ants are not high on morale as they fear the rumored brother of Queen Cruz. Natasha says she will think of something to help the commoners. Next day she calls John in the Queens court and proposes him to marriage which John accepts and the wedding to take place in a months time. Natasha says that a celebration will help the people.
Our band of heroes are fully focused in preparing for the royal wedding which has brought the spirits of commoners up. Rasp leaves the colony on her journey. We see Julio and his massive army leaving his castle.
The day of wedding begins, with everything seems right. Both the Bride and Groom come in the ceremony room where they find the priest dead. Suddenly 10 ants come out of nowhere and start attacking the Ants of the heroes colony, they are defeated after some time. Rasp the Wasp enters the colony and tells that a massive army is just hours away from them, They postpone the wedding and get ready to defend themselves. Steve will lead the army at the front while Tamiz and Solomon will provide support to him. John much to his dismay is asked to stay inside the colony with a small force to protect the queen.
Julio's Army and our heroes army collide. Our heroes surprise Julio army with many of their defenses which was tilting this war in their favor but as soon as some number of Julio army dies, double the number comes forward from nowhere. Steve gets lost in the battlefield fighting. Tamiz and Solomon armies start diking out with Julio's army, soon they are overwhelmed and outnumbered. Some of their members including Tamiz and Solomon retreat. Julio with Queen J moves inside the main colony with band of soldiers. They soon decimate the colony defenses, Julio faces John and after hand to hand fight defeat him and then goes towards Natasha. In the battlefield we see Tamiz, Solomon and the members with them engulfed in fire running towards Julio's Army spreading the fire soon the whole of battlefield is engulfed in fire with Julio's Army shedding thin with fire. Julio sees this and goes towards Natasha saying that he will make her pay. Natasha and battered John see each other and thinking this is their last moments profess their love to each other then Julio grabs Natasha and goes for the kill but suddenly he is stabbed from behind by Queen J who can't stand more violence initiated by her husband. The band that came with Julio is going to attack J but from out of nowhere Steve comes with few ants and dispose of the band.
After few weeks, John and Natasha gets married with Queen J present to strengthen their alliance as she now rules the kingdom of Julio. They honor Tamiz and Solomon who sacrificed their live for the welfare of others.
