Splinter Cell: Double Agent: The latest film in the Splinter Cell series has cast Michael Mosley ("Seven Seconds", "Ozark"), Pete Ploszek (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, "Teen Wolf"), Cliff Curtis (The Meg, "Fear the Walking Dead") and Patrick Heusinger (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, "Absentia") in supporting roles. Yann Demange is making his blockbuster debut on the D.R. Cobb-written project.
Crowley: The Tom Hardy-led, Nicolas Winding Refn-directed Aleistar Crowley biopic has added Maggie Gyllenhaal ("The Deuce", "White House Down), David Thewlis (Gargoyles, Wonder Woman), Emile Hirsch (2060, All Nighter), Anna Torv ("Mindhunter", Stephanie) and Noah Taylor (Skyscraper, "Preacher"). Gyllenhaal will play Crowley's wife, Thewlis will play a mentor to Crowley, Hirsch will play Crowley's protege, Torv will play Thewlis' mistress, and Taylor will play the man who introduces Crowley to the occult.
Eleanor & Park: The latest YA adaptation from writer H.G. Hansen has added James Badge Dale (Only the Brave, Spectral), Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians, "Fresh Off the Boat"), Taissa Farmiga (The Nun, "American Horror Story") and Uriah Shelton ("13 Reasons Why", The Warrior's Gate) to its ensemble. Richard Linklater is finally directing his first film for the studio with this project after having backed out of directing Welcome to Paradise shortly before production.
Maple Leaf: Sienna Miller (The Osterman Weekend, Live by Night) and Nathan Fillion (Detective James, "Castle") have joined the crime comedy Maple Leaf from director Jason Reitman and writer Harry Wright. Miller will play Billy Bob Thornton's daughter who gets roped into her father's maple syrup scheme, while Fillion will play a maple farmer.
Sweet Tooth: Writer Seth Overton (Made in Abyss, The Carpet Makers) has adapted the Vertigo comic series, Sweet Tooth, with Spike Jonze (Her, Where the Wild Things Are) attached to direct. The film takes place in a post-apocalyptic future populated by human-animal hybrids. Elijah Wood (The Trust, The Last Witch Hunter) and Rory McCann (xXx: Return of Xander Cage, "Game of Thrones") are set to star. Wood will play one of these hybrids, a young man with deer antlers. McCann will play a violent drifter who takes Gus under his wing.
Booster Gold II: The Booster Gold Story: A sequel to the highest grossing film in Last Resort Films history, Booster Gold, is finally on its way. Billy Magnussen (An Honest Mistake, Booster Gold), Scoot McNairy (Perfect Blue, Deprogramming), Lee Pace (Inhumans, Booster Gold) and Natalie Dormer (Booster Gold, Road Rash) will return in front of the cameras, while Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Booster Gold, 22 Jump Street) once again direct with Chad Taylor (Trip, Scion) writing.
