Skyrim: Rounding out the cast of the big budget fantasy epic, Skyrim, will be Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Mad Max: Fury Road, Captain Atom), Gabriel Byrne (Hereditary, Life After Life), Valter Skarsgard (Lords of Chaos, "Black Lake") and Uma Thurman (The House That Jack Built, The Con Is On). Peter Jackson is producing the film with Miguel Sapochnik directing from a script by Mo Buck.
Eileen: Hot off their Best Actress Golden Reel nominations last season, Jennifer Lawrence (Burial Rites, Triangle) and Anne Hathaway (Calamity, Serenity) are set to co-star in the upcoming drama, Eileen, from director Gavin O'Connor (The Accountant, Jane Got a Gun) and writer T.F.W. Hallowayne (Life After Life, Asylum), based on the novel by Ottessa Moshfegh. They will play employees at a prison during one winter in the 1960s.
Ghost Town: Golden Reel Award-winning writer, Chad Taylor (Calamity, One for the Ages) has written a film depicting the socioeconomic issues of the town of Cairo, Illinois over time with the film telling three stories in different time periods: 1909, 1967 and 2017. Kyle Chandler (Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Nevada, Iowa), Kiersey Clemons ("Angie Tribeca", Hearts Beat Loud), Idris Elba (Obsession, Spawn) and John C. Reilly (Blood on the Moon, The Carpet Makers) will headline the ensemble cast. Chandler will play the town sheriff in 1909, Clemons a resident in 2017, Elba will play a community leader in 1967, while Reilly will play Clemon's boss in 2017. Barry Jenkins (Moonlight, If Beale Street Could Talk) will direct the film.
A Little Life: Absent from the studio since Season 4's Missoula, Chris Evans (Missoula, Metal Gear Solid) is back to work with LRF once again. This time Evans will star in the film A Little Life, based on the controversial novel by Hanya Yanagihara. The film will tell the story of a group of friends from college and how they handle their issues as they get older. Cillian Murphy (Before You Help, And Then There Were None), Michael Ealy ("Being Mary Jane", The Perfect Guy) and Tituss Burgess ("Unbrekable Kimmy Schmidt", Set It Up) will play the other members of the group. Dutch filmmaker Anton Corbijn (Flicker, Life) will direct the film from a script by H.G. Hansen (The Queen of the Night, Tenth Circle).
Metamorpho: A film based on the DC Comics character Metamorpho is on the way from director Scott Derrickson (Ringer, Dracula Lives) and writer Dominic Wilkins (Halo: Reach, Doppelganger 2). Edgar Ramirez is set to star as the titular character, a soldier of fortune who is turned into elemental shapeshifter. Hugo Weaving (Cascade, Made in Abyss) is set to play the villainous entrepreneur Simon Stagg, while Alice Eve (Replicas, Criminal) will make her LRF debut as Weaving's daughter and Ramirez's love interest.
Story of Sade: The second film written by Jacob Jones (Happy Nuke Year) is set to begin production. The film is a comedy starring Tiffany Haddish ("The Last O.G.", Night School) as a woman who moves in with four other women and how her arrival changes everyone. Selena Gomez (Grand Theft Auto, Neuromancer) and Emma Watson (Guilt, The Cry of the Owl) will play other women in the house. Judd Apatow (This Is 40, Trainwreck) has been hired to direct the film.
