In a surprising turn of events, Last Resort Films has paid hefty licensing rights to make a
Star Wars film. The film will be based on the video game
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which is set about 4000 years prior to the other films. LRF's film will not have any connection to any other previous
Star Wars film, as part of the licensing agreement, and cannot use any previously featured character. Roy Horne (Flash Gordon, Kite) will pen the screenplay.
