In Development

Death in the Shadows: Dylan Sprayberry (Maximum Ride: School's Out Forever, Crush) continues his very busy Season 16 with another role in the ensemble cast of Death in the Shadows. He will be joined by Dominique McElligott (Dark Places, "The Boys"), Stephen Amell (Pudd'nhead Wilson, "Arrow") and DJ Cotrona (Shazam!, "From Dusk till Dawn: The Series"). Sprayberry, Amell and Cotrona have all been cast as soldiers in WWII, while McElligott has been cast as the fiance of the previously cast Boyd Holbrook. S. Craig Zahler is directing the film from a script by Jack Slipter.

Haunted: Connie Britton (Should've Been Here, Bunker 17), Judi Dench (Standing Back, Cats), Glenn Close (Long Time, The Wife), Hugh Laurie (Superman: The Man of Tomorrow, The Crucible) and Mae Whitman ("Good Girls", The DUFF) have joined the cast of the Kogonada-helmed drama Haunted. Britton, Dench, Close and Laurie will all play family members of the main character played by Alex Wolff and Bill Hader (depending on the age), while Whitman will play Hader's love interest. Alex Conn penned the script, which is the first producing credit for writer John Malone.

Resident Evil 3: Gustaf Skarsgard ("Vikings", Splinter Cell: Blacklist), Natalie Martinez (Adr1ft, Message from the King), Richard Jenkins (Girl in the Fog, Calamity) and Ben Barnes (Sunny Days, Resident Evil) have all joined the large cast of James Wan's new film, Resident Evil 3. Barnes is reprising his role from the first Resident Evil, as STARS helicopter pilot Brad Vickers. Skarsgard will play the leader of a special security team, Martinez will play the sister of Rodrigo Santoro's character, while Jenkins will play a doctor working on a vaccine for the deadly virus infecting Raccoon City. Carl Flimmer once again wrote the script.

Faster, Higher, Stronger: Frequent collaborators Matt Damon (Newbury Street, The Osterman Weekend) and director Steven Soderbergh (Carmilla, Doctor Love) will re-team for the first time on an LRF project. Damon has signed on to star in a comedy about the disasterous 1904 Olympics in St. Louis. Damon will play James Edward Sullivan, the chief organizer of the games who made one wrong decision after another during the event. He will be joined by Patton Oswalt (Long Time, "A.P. Bio"), Evan Peters (The Associate, Blue Heat) and Oscar Isaac (Coma, Girl in the Fog). Oswald will play Damon's right-hand man, while Peters and Isaac will play two of the competitors in the Games' ever-important Marathon event. Mo Buck (And the Birds Rained Down, A Reputation) penned the script.

The Kiss Quotient: Anh Duong (Uncut Gems, The Only Living Boy in New York), David Lim ("S.W.A.T.", "Quantico"), Awkwafina ("Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens", Jumanji: The Next Level) and Eilsabeth Shue (The Tower, "The Boys") will round out the cast of The Kiss Quotient from director Lulu Wang. Duong will play Steven Yeun's mother, Lim will play Yeun's cousin, Awkwafina will play his sister, while Shue will play one of his clients. Rosie JoLove wrote the scripy based on the novel by Helen Hoang.

No Laughing Matter: Jason Bateman (Calamity, Sabbatical Recovery), Glenn Howerton (Plastic Man, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") and Steve Buscemi (Maple Leaf, The Champions of Angor) have all signed on to headline a new dark comedy from directors Joel & Ethan Coen (An Honest Mistake, The Lady in the Lake). The trio will play brothers in the year 2053 struggling to run their family business, a funeral home. Chad Taylor (Oklahoma!, Gambit and Rogue) penned the original screenplay.
