In Development

Gears of War: Ben Schnetzer (The Giant, Saint Judy), Ted Levine ("The Bridge", Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) and Clancy Brown (Hex, Chappaquiddick) have signed on to join director Zack Snyder's Gears of War adaptation. Schnetzer will play the youngest member of the military platoon at the center of the story. Levine will play a military colonel, while Brown will play a villain in the film. Mark Newton has penned the adaptation.

Gambit: District X: Professional wrestler Brock Lesnar ("Gauntlet"), Kristofer Hivju (Gargoyles, Downhill), Sophie Okonedo (God of War: Kratos, Wild Rose) and Midori Francis (Good Boys, "Dash & Lily") have signed on to complete the cast of the latest Marvel Universe production, Gambit: District X. Lesnar will play Juggernaut, Hivju will play Harpoon, Okonedo will play Storm's mother, while Francis' role has not been disclosed. Chad Taylor has written the script to the film, which is being directed by Jim Mickle.

The Case Against 8: Bradley Whitford (Superman: The Last Son of Krypton, Songbird), Joan Cusack (Hands on a Hard Body, Let It Snow), Matt Bomer (A Life, Days Without End) and Matthew Morrison (After the Reality, Tulip Fever) have joined The Case Against 8 from star/director James Franco and writer Alex Conn. Whitford will play a lawyer, while Bomer, Cusack and Morrison will play witnesses called to testify in the trial at the center of the film.

Y: The Last Man - Part 2: Jack Reynor (Coma, The Fantastic Four), Tessa Thompson (Before You Help, Y: The Last Man), Constance Wu (Y: The Last Man, What We Were Promised) and Mackenzie Davis (Task Force X, Y: The Last Man) are expected to reprise their roles in the second Y: The Last Man film. Reynor will be back as Yorick, the lone human male to survive a deadly virus. Thompson will be back as Agent 355, tasked with protecting Yorick. Wu will play Dr. Allison Mann, a scientist investigating the cause of the deaths. Davis, meanwhile, will be back as Yorick's sister. Ana Lily Amirpour (Crimson Fox, Y: The Last Man) is once again directing from a script by Matt Parker (The Dark Tower II, Sleeping Beauties).

Death of the Artist: Casey Affleck (For Those Who Don't Read Me, The Youngest Hart) is set to headline a low-budget post-apocalyptic story about a where all art and music has been quickly banned and destroyed. He will play a father who wants his sick daughter to hear music again. Thomasin McKenzie (Shouts from the Well, He Kills) has been cast as the daughter. Kenneth Lonergan (The Hunt, Manchester by the Sea) has been tasked to direct the film, his first LRF project since Season 2. The film is based on a script by Jimmy Ellis (The World: Done to Death, Hillside).

Sinatra: Martin Scorsese (The Raven in the Night, The Irishman) is back to direct for the studio for the first time since the Season 1 hit, The Raven in the Night. This time he will be tackling a biopic of famed singer Frank Sinatra, and he has predictably employed his favorite leading man, Leonardo DiCaprio (Caesar, Calamity), to tackle the title role. The film is expected to cover the majority of Sinatra's famed career, including his ties with political figures, criminals and other celebrities. Lon Charles (The Glass Menagerie, The Temptations) has penned the film.
