Reaction: It comes as little surprise that the Justice League sequel tops the season's box office. It does come in a bit below the first film, but the drop is pretty small so the studio expects to move forward with a third film in the franchise for Season 30!

"The motivations of the villain gave this film a unique feeling. Filling in for his father Booster Gold, Dan Stevens' Rip Hunter practically steals the show from the more established JL members - and has great chemistry with Armie Hammer's straight-laced Green Arrow." - Michael Carthage, Associated Press

"For better or worse, this Justice League sequel definitely feels like a Michael Bay film - even more than the first film. It's a visual spectacle with action sequences on Mars, in the future, and even in Ancient Egypt. In fact, there is so much action and so many unique visual locations that the characters can get a little lost here and there." - Clark Davis, JoBlo.com

"Justice League Unlimited is better than the first, the additions of John Stewart and Rip Hunter definitely help, especially Rip Hunter's prominent role. I enjoyed the story as a whole, however at times, it becomes a bit too cluttered. I understand what the filmmakers were going for and I did thoroughly enjoy it. The little cameo appearances were welcome and had me cheering on. Bring on the next installments into the DC Universe." Frank Washington, Comicbook.com

Rated PG-13 for intense action violence and some language
