In Development

The Question: Christina Hendricks (Bad Santa 2, Skin Tight), another frequent collaborator of director Nicholas Winding Refn, has signed on the play the female lead in his DC Comics adaptation, The Question. Hendricks will play a co-worker and on-again-off-again flame of Vic Sage's (Ryan Gosling).

The Child Martyr: Fresh off her acclaimed performance in The Last of Us, Mackenzie Foy (Interstellar, The Last of Us) has joined the cast of Jean-Marc Vallee's tragic true story, The Child Martyr. She will play the title character, Aurore, who suffers greatly at the hands of her stepmother, played by Brie Larson.

101: Hugh Jackman (Logan, Les Miserables) has decided to re-team with his Prisoners director Denis Villeneuve for his latest film, thriller 101. Jackman will play a cop eager to get back to work after leave of absense following an operation gone wrong.

Eclipse: Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad, Terminator Genisys) and Lili Simmons ("Banshee", "Ray Donovan") have been cast as a young couple vacationing in China in this vampire action film. Most of the other major roles will go to Chinese actors. Alexandre Aja directs.

Mona Lisa: Penelope Cruz (Share, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End) is finally cashing in her "movie of choice" card after being kind enough to appear in Share. She has signed on to star in Mona Lisa. She will play a prostitute who inlists her new driver to help her look for a missing friend. They are still looking at leading male actors and directors for the project.

And Then There Were None: Following the fairly successful release of The Raven in the Night last season, Last Resort Films has optioned writer James Morgan's adaptation of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. Joe Wright (Anna Karenina, Hanna) has been hired to direct.
