In Development

Revolution: John Malone's highly anticipated drama set during the swinging 70s has added four more to its cast. The third lead couple of the story has been cast with Jason Bateman (Game Night, "Ozark") and Kate Winslet (Cape Torment, Wonder Wheel) playing the more conservative friends of Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson. Speaking of Witherspoon and Wilson, their kids in the film will be played by Joy King (Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Demons) and Jaeden Lieberher (The Lodge, It). Sam Mendes is directing the film.

Looking for Alaska: Josh Hutcherson (The Disaster Artist, "Future Man"), Sophie Turner (Alien: Isolation, The Price of Fame) and Kwak Dong-Yeon (Misbehavior, Man of Will) have joined the young adult adaptation Looking for Alaska from director Josh Boone as students at a boarding school. H.G. Hansen wrote the script based on the novel by John Green as his first film for the studio.

Spawn: Harry Wright and Mo Buck's upcoming adaptation of Todd McFarlane's Spawn comic series has added Eric Stonestreet ("Modern Family", The Life of the Party), Stephen Merchant (Logan, Table 19) and Stanley Tucci (Cyrano de Bergerac, Cosa Nostra) to the cast. Stonestreet and Merchant will play two detectives after a murderer played by Tucci. Antoine Fuqua is directing the Idris Elba-led film.

The Question: The End: DC superhero The Question will be back next season with the third installment of the series, The Question: The End. Nicolas Winding Refn (The Question: Dark Tomorrow, Cat People) will be back behind the camera with Ryan Gosling (The Question: Dark Tomorrow, Survivor), Christina Hendricks (The Question: Dark Tomorrow, Ringer) and Kyle Chandler (Death Dream, Grand Theft Auto) set to return from Dark Tomorrow as The Question/Vic Sage, Myra Connelly and Det. Izzy O'Toole respectively. D.R. Cobb once again wrote the script.

Cleopatra: Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman, Keeping Up with the Joneses) has been cast as Egyptian ruler Cleopatra in a new biographical film about the historical figure. Michael Fassbender (Van Helsing, American Outlaws) and Eric Bana (Siren, Grand Theft Auto) will join her. Fassbender will play Marc Antony and Bana will play Julius Caesar. Guy Ritchie (The Job, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) has signed on to direct the film based on a script by Billy Cruder (Dino Crisis 2).

Gargoyles: Gore Verbinski has already been announced as the director and producer of this cartoon adaptation, and now a cast is starting to come together for the Roy Horne (Perfect Blue) scripted film. Vin Diesel (The Fate of the Furious, xXx: Return of Xander Cage) will provide motion capture and the voice of the lead gargoyle Goliath, leader of the Manhattan Clan. Zachary Quinto (Star Trek Beyond, The Fountainhead) has been cast as the villain, billionaire David Xanatos, who awakens the gargoyles from a stone sleep for his own nefarious goals. Cynthia Addai-Robinson (The Accountant, "Shooter") has been cast as the female lead, NYPD Det. Elisa Maza, who becomes an ally to the gargoyles.
