Reaction: While it's one of the lower box office grosses and profits of the DC Comics Universe, we have to remember that this film is a western that features no superheroes. So with that caveat, we are very pleased with the financial outcome of the film, which knocks Lucky Luke and Calamity Jane off the top of the list of the highest grossing westerns from the studio.

"The film definitely has some memorable scenes, but they don't always flow together very well. The supporting characters aren't given much to do other than move along the plot." - Evan Kane, Buffalo News

"Chan-wook Park has not delivered a classic western, but rather something more akin to the acid westerns of the 60s and 70s from filmmakers like Sam Peckinpah. That said, what Park has delivered is a quality film." - Sara Karlsson, Willamette Week

"Brad Pitt may finally have found his franchise. He seems to relish hiding away his movie star good looks for once and getting to play a character fueled by anger." - Ken Hammerschmidt, Washington Post

Rated PG-13 for intense western violence, some language, thematic material and brief sexual content
