In Development

Walker: Rounding out the cast of the Kyle Chandler-led crime drama will be Luis Guzman (The Raid, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City), John C. Reilly (The Devil in the White City, Ghost Town) and Peyton Roi List (The Virgin Suicides, Ubik). Reilly will play a meddling private investigator, Guzman will play a criminal, and List has been cast as James Spader's daughter. David Cronenberg is directing the film, his first since Velvet in Season 2, based on a script from James Morgan.

Superman: The Man of Tomorrow: A few more names have joined the upcoming Superman film. Tom Wright ("Gauntlet", Message from the King), Halle Berry (John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, Justice League International), Max Martini (Spectral, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi) and Robert Kazinsky (Mute, "Second Chance") have all signed on to the project. Berry will reprise her role as Amanda Waller from Justice League International, Wright has been cast as a US Senator. Martini and Kazinsky have been cast as villains in the film. The characters are said to be comic characters never featured on the big screen before, but no further information has been revealed. Jeff Nichols is directing the blockbuster superhero film from a script by John Malone, making his superhero film writing debut.

The Letter J: Mark Rylance (Vixen: The Totems of Zambesi, A Farewell to Arms), Kara Hayward (The Vegan Movie, The Virgin Suicides) and Bob Balaban ("The Politician", Mascots) will round out the cast of Kogonada's next film, The Letter J, starring Lucas Hedges, Elle Fanning and Haley Lu Richardson. Rylance will play a high school English teacher, Hayward will play a student, and Balaban will play the school therapist. The film is based on an original script by Alex Conn.

Born in Brooklyn: Ben Affleck's latest directorial effort has added Mackenzie Foy (The Crucible, Kite), Nick Jonas (Jumanji: The Next Level, Midway) and Billy Crudup (Long Time, Strangers Friends) to its supporting cast. Foy will be the love interest of Wyatt Oleff's character, Jonas will play her older brother home on leave from the Vietnam War, while Crudup will play a priest and teacher. Dwight Gallo penned the original screenplay.

Sabbatical Recovery: Tobey Maguire ("Leaving Everything", Pawn Sacrifice), Jason Bateman (Calamity, Decrescendo) and Kirsten Dunst (A Following, Black Dublin) have all signed on to headline the drama Sabbatical Recovery. Bateman and Dunst will play a couple who find themselves forced to take care of their suicidal friend, played by Maguire. Mike Mills (Long Time, Beginners) is directing the film from a script by H.G. Hansen (Unknown, Bioshock).

Y: The Last Man: The mostly female ensemble cast of the comic adaptation, Y: The Last Man, has added the likes of Gal Gadot (The Squared Circle, Happy Nuke Year), Mackenzie Davis (Batman: Gotham Knight, Pressing Luck), Samara Weaving (Damned Ship, The Reign of Lady Morgana) and Lara Jean Chorostecki (The Life of the Party, "Have Gun - Will Travel"). Gadot will play an Israeli commando, Davis will play the main character's (Yorick) sister, Weaving will play Yorick's girlfriend, and Chorostecki will play a man-hating gang leader. Ana Lily Amirpour is directing the film from a script by Matt Parker.
