Reaction: Not exactly the numbers we were hoping for. Admittedly, the film cost more than the studio was initially expecting due to the ever-increasing salaries of some of the film's stars (none of whom are necessarily big box office draws).
"While some of the supporting roles are lacking (McGregor feels especially wasted in his role), the ensemble cast does a good job anchoring themselves around another great Kyle Chandler performance. Chandler may finally earn his first Best Actor nomination (after three Best Supporting Actor nominations, two of which he won)." - Chris Price, Boston Herald
"James Morgan's script has an interesting structure that will keep you on edge, especially once some of the flashbacks start kicking in. Cronenberg is an inspired choice as director, and he is able to handle the tight-rope of a plot." - Charles Yost, Oregonian
"Despite a strong lead performance from Kyle Chandler, Cronenberg's Walker just doesn't feel different enough from other films of its ilk to stand out. Aside from a handful of nice, smaller touches, the film feels like yet another story of a cop on the edge." - Glenn Howard, Total Film
Rated R for strong violent content, sexuality, language and drug use
