The Wonder: Denis O'Hare (Bioshock, The Goldfinch), Maria Doyle Kennedy (Sing Street, The Conjuring 2) and Domhnall Gleeson (Kindred, Beartown) have all signed on to join Brie Larson in the novel adaptation, The Wonder. O'Hare has been cast as a doctor, Kennedy will play a nun, while Gleeson will play a journalist covering the story of the girl who supposedly is healthy after having not consumed any food or liquid in four months. Lenny Abrahamson is directing the film from an adaptation by Rosie JoLove.
McCain: Lambert Wilson (XIII, Hellraiser), Dustin Nguyen ("Warrior", The Man with the Iron Fists 2) and Erin Moriarty ("The Boys", Orchid) have be cast in the Chris Pine-led John McCain biopic. Wilson will play a French journalist who meets McCain in a North Vietnamese prison hospital, Nguyen will play one of McCain's cruel captors, while Moriarty will play McCain's second wife. Clint Eastwood directs from a script by Dwight Gallo.
Tail: Writer Ben Collins (Hollow Creek, Julie) is back with another creature-centric film. This one is directed by Vincenzo Natali (In the Tall Grass, Haunter). Tom Holland (Circumstances of Time, How to Survive in Hell), Daisy Ridley (Alien: Isolation, Dracula Lives) and Diego Luna (The Killings, The Tournament) have signed on to star in the film. Holland and Luna will play a pair of crime scene clean-up workers who stumble upon a young woman who has been subject to strange experiments, played by Ridley.
The Crow: Resurrected: Sam Raimi (The Reign of Lady Morgana, Oz the Great and Powerful) has signed on to direct a reboot/continuation of the film The Crow. Adam Driver (The Stand, Sinkhole) has scored the lead role in the film as a rising musician who finds himself killed and reborn with new abilities. Ezra Miller (Spark of Madness, "Lady of the House") and Lili Simmons (Carmilla, Demons) will also star in the film. Miller will play Driver's bandmate who may have been involved in his death, while Simmons will play Driver's former girlfriend. Jacob Jones (Greenwater Amusements, The Phantom of the Opera) penned the script inspired by the comic by James O'Barr.
Heights: Tom Cruise (The Andromeda Strain, Splinter Cell: Blacklist) has signed on to star in the drama from director David Fincher (Cold, Survivor). Cruise will play a ruthless real estate developer who butts heads with the Mayor of New York City as he builds his empire. The script is the first collaboration between writers Alex Conn (Morrissey and Marr, Drugstore Perfume) and John Malone (Crimson, Superman: The Man of Tomorrow).
