Plot: Mitch Wacky (Steve Buscemi) tosses out the components from the androids previously called the Extremists, as Dreamslayer (James Remar) looks on. Mitch reminds Dreamslayer he’s disappointed in him and he hoped he could do something good this time, but it wasn’t meant to be. Dreamslayer stays in the corner, but as Wack rambles on and on about how much he disappointed him, Dreamslayer uses his power to choke Wacky and lifts him above the ground. He says he won’t be called useless and a disappointment anymore and he will get revenge on people from Earth and those so-called heroes, but he will not do it alone. He needs Wacky to bring the Extremists back. Wacky declines, but Dreamslayer keeps applying pressure, forcing Wacky to cave in. He drops on the ground, massaging his throat and telling Dreamslayer to calm down.
Back on Earth, a ceremony is held in front of the brand new Washington monument, in honor of all the heroes who helped fought the Extremists. There are only three of them on stage right now, Constance d’Aramis, aka Crimson Fox (Alicia Vikander), Power Girl (Amanda Seyfried) and Blue Jay (Tim Roth). A reporter asks where all the others are and Power Girl says they had other commitments and all the reporters ask the same question, which leads Crimson Fox to come forward and tell everyone that they may not be the most interesting superheroes out there, but at least they are still heroes and participated in this glorious win over Doctor Diehard and his puppets. Another reporter asks if the reports were true that Crimson Fox really didn’t do anything during the battle. Blue Jay comes forward to help her out of this mess and the reporters are quick t point out that once again a man helps a woman out because he thinks she’s not good enough to defend ourselves. It may be like this wherever he comes from, but that’s not how it works on Earth nowadays. Constance speaks in an earpiece, asking them where the hell they are and she hears that they’re coming.
Suddenly, music blasts from the speakers and everyone’s attention is directed towards the sky. Captain Atom (Jon Hamm) and Rocket Red (Joel Edgerton) are carrying a newly made Washington monument. Then, the temporary Washington monument installed after the original one was destroyed during the battle, starts moving and people panic. Metamorpho (Edgar Ramirez) returns to his original form and complains that he’s been here to long and his back hurts like crazy. Captain and Rocket Red put the new Washinton monument in place and everyone applauds them. Everyone’s attention is directed towards them now, leaving Power Girl, Crimson Fox and Blue Jay alone, confirming their belief that no one cares about them. Blue Jay is particularly sad that they didn’t bring up Silver Sorceress’ death and that’s why they were here originally.
Back on Angor, Mitch Wacky, now chained like a slave and working for Dreamslayer in the deserted nuke world that has become Angor, receives a visit from Dreamslayer, asking if he made any breakthrough. Mitch asks him to be considering, he really did his best, but without anyone around, he has only been able to bring one back to life. Dreamslayer says it’s not enough.
Rocket Red reunites with Blue Jay, Power Girl and Crimson Fox as they are sitting in silence around Silver Sorceress’ corpse. When Blue Jay sees him if he’s done playing the hero, because they need to bring her back to Angor. Rocket Red senses Blue Jay is hostile and so is everyone else and he asks why. They say they’re tired that him ant the others feel more important than them and embracing their popularity. Rocket Red says he doesn’t crave the popularity, he only wants to do what is right and that’s why he’s asking if he can come with them to bring Silver Sorceress back to Angor. They ask if Captain Atom and Metamorpho will come with them and he says they won’t be joining them, they have more important things to do. He then asks Blue Jay if where he’s going to bring her on Angor, because last time they went there, everything was destroyed. Blue Jay says there’s a place where all the superheroes rest there. He asks them how they plan to get there without Silver Sorceress’ powers and Blue Jay says that’s where he comes in handy.
A couple of hours later, Rocket Red is in his apartment and lending one of his armour to Crimson Fox. He asks them if they’re ready to do this. Before he shrinks himself, Blue Jay asks in which armor he should go, because Crimson Fox’s armour sure looks inviting. She tells him he will never get inside this armor and he settles for Dmitri’s armor. He shrinks himself up and takes his place as they head outside. Dmitri is standing up, holding on Power Girl’s arm, who is also holding Silver Sorceress’ corpse. Crimson Fox is holding on to one of Power Girl’s leg. Power Girl says they look ridiculous, but this will work. She does a countdown and she starts flying away.
Mitch Wacky is on his knees begging Dreamslayer not to kill him, he really did his best, but he was only able to bring back Lord Havok (Jim Caviezel), made from pieces from several other Extremists, making for a bizarre android. Dreamslayer says that can do the trick for Lord Havok, but he still needs to find a way to bring back the others, or else he will not be able to destroy Earth and exact his revenge.
When they arrive on Angor, Power Girl lands on an empty field, where only a fence remains. Everyone is a little shaken from their flight, but Blue Jay who is ready to finally bring Silver Sorceress to her final resting place. Dmitri asks him where he intends to place her, it’s just an empty field. Blue Jay tells them that’s what they think. He shouts his old battle cry, Champions Assemble and a platform rises from the ground. He welcomes them to the Champions of Angor headquarters. Obviously everyone is dead now, except him, because of the nuclear holocaust that happened here, but that’s not the point. Dmitri and Constance walk around and look at the other superheroes, Bug, The Bowman, Tin Man, Stuntmaster. They don’t know them, but they feel so familiar. As Blue Jay places Silver Sorceress’ body in her case, he starts describing his former friends to the JLE. Bug was bitten by a bug and got the bug’s ability. Deadeye was always carrying his bow and arrows around, never missing a target, Tin Man was a rich businessman with a heart disease who built an armor for himself with his fortune and Stuntmaster was a blind lawyer who fought criminals at night.
But then, they are interrupted by Dreamslayer and Lord Havok who found out about their presence on Angor. They start to fight them. The new and improved Lord Havok joins the fight, combining several abilities from the previous Extremists. Power Girl flies around and tries to use her powers to weaken Dreamslayer. Rocket Red shoots rockets at Dreamslayer, while Crimson Fox attacks Lord Havok newly found bestiality with her sharp gloves. Blue Jay sneaks up under Lord Havok and increases in size. Lord Havok projects Crimson Fox on the ground and starts going after Rocket Red trying to break his armor with his magnetic powers. The two teams are at a standstill and neither are gaining the advantage. Dreamslayer digs in his memory and remembers the powers of Silver Sorceress. He opens a portal and he push everyone in it. As everyone stands in an interdimensional void, an explosion occurs as Dreamslayer was trying to attack them.
When everyone gets back to its senses and back on their feet, they realise they are still standing in the Champions of Angor headquarters but something surely feels different, they are people there. Blue Jay looks around and he thinks he’s in a dream and he asks the other JLE members what they’re doing in his dream. Silver Sorceress (Sofia Black-D’Elia) comes out of her glass case and asks what the hell she was doing in there. Blue Jay can’t believe it, she’s alive. The other JLE members try to move and everyone starts to panic, since they don’t know who they are. Dmitri asks everyone what’s happening, but nobody knows what he’s referring to, they ask him what’s his deal, because he just appeared out of thin air. Constance what happened with the bombs and Silver Sorceress asks what bombs is she talking about. Blue Jay asks what year they’re in and she says they’re in 897 and the JLE people start to panic, but Blue Jay reminds that time moves slower on Angor and he figures that they travelled through time. Silver Sorceress doens’t know what they’re talking about. Blue Jay tells everyone they can trust his friends, while they take a walk and try to explain to Silver Sorceress what happened.
Just a couple of miles away, Mitch Wacky is walking around in his amusement park, Wacky World, shaking hands with people and taking pictures with children, but he seems out of it today. His guards asks him if he’s alright and he says he’ll take the day off, he isn’t feeling well.
The JLE and Silver Sorceress are in a tall skyscraper and as Dmitri looks at the city, Silver Sorceress says it all seems farfetched, but it’s too detailed to be a lie. So she asks them if she got this straight. They’ve been teleported back to the past and they don’t really know how, by a super villain without a head, led by Mitch Wacky, the smiling, charming man at the head of the Mitch Wacky Company, after they travelled from another planet after defeating a group of villains who tried to destroy that planet after they also destroyed Angor with nuclear bombs. Blue Jay says that’s exactly right and if you didn’t understand to just rewind and listen again, winking at the camera. He also adds that they can all stop this.
The reunited JLE try to get inside Wacky World, but the guard at the entrance denies their entry if they don’t remove their elaborate costumes, since they are not Mitch Wacky Company characters. Silver Sorceress and Blue Jay are allowed to enter since they are part of the Champions of Angor squad. They reluctantly get rid of their armor and getup and are finally allowed to enter. They ask how they’re going to meet with Wacky now, just entering the park was hard enough. Silver Sorceress says she has contacts and she just open a portal and they appear in his office. Wacky is surprised to see them at first, but, like them, he remembers what happened. He says what he did was unacceptable and he wants to help them prevent it. He doesn’t want to be kidnapped by Dreamslayer and work for him again. He says he doesn’t know how it happened, but Angor was destroyed. Blue Jay asks him if he remembers something before he got cryogenine and he says he doesn’t remember. They say it can be problematic. Silver Sorceress has a plan. If he was around when the world was destroyed, then he must remember how it happened. She asks them how they can help him remember and Blue Jay reminds that Dreamslayer was able to steal her power from her mind. He’s the only one who can help them now. They ask him if he’s sure he really has no idea how the world is going to end, because it feels like he’s hiding something from them. He confirms it, swearing he’s a nce man who does nice things, he really can’t see how it’s going to happen.
Under Wacky World, an employee enters the a large room where machines are running and several workers are running around. The clerk asks what’s going on and he’s told that the boss is waiting for Mr. Wacky, but he’s been told that Mitch Wacky isn’t feeling well, so he’s pissed and taking it out on the employees. The boss is seen to be Dreamslayer, but wearing a helmet so people can’t see that he doesn’t actually have a head. He walks around the facility and he asks the workers if they are done soon. They say work is done on one of them, but he still needs to wait for the others to be ready. He orders them to work faster, the deadline is nearing. He takes a look down and he sees the Extremists android being built. He goes back to his office and he concentrates really hard on a picture of Mitch Wacky and he takes control of his mind. He sees the world from his point of view and he sees the JLE in his office. He says it’s time to act, he has no other choice.
The ground starts to shake under Wacky World and the park visitors are rapidly leaving the premises. The JLE grows worried, and so does Wacky. They ask him if he forgot about something and he says he might have forgotten about something. They look by the windows and see Dreamslayer coming out of a hole from the ground made by Lord Havok. He calls out the JLE, saying he will not let them get away this time. Blue Jay is furious at Mitch Wacky who hides under his desk, saying he’s terrified of Dreamslayer. They head outside to face Dreamslayer and Lord Havok, both Rocket Red and Crimson Fox are without their suits, rendering them useless. They tell the others they’ll head back for the gear and come back. Power Girl goes head to head with Dreamslayer, while Silver Sorceress and Blue Jay target Lord Havok. The wreak havoc in the amusement park, destroying several rides as they battle it out. Rocket Red returns with his armor and saves Power Girl from Dreamslayer. Crimson Fox also runs in, but simply looks around. She’s knocked down by Lord Havok and tries to use her spores, but they are ineffective. She’s bummed out that she’s not really useful, but she sees Mitch Wacky trying to run away. She attracts him to her and she keeps him under her arm to make sure he doesn’t attempt to run away again.
The park is completely wrecked and on fire due to the battle. While Power Girl, Silver Sorceress, Blue Jay and Rocket Red struggle with Dreamslayer and Lord Havok, Crimson Fox struggles to contain the advances of Mitch Wacky, because of the pheromones she used. Silver Sorceress thinks this battle is going nowhere. She gets Blue Jay and she asks him to deliver a message to Rocket Red. She thinks they should get out of here. She asks him to give her a sign if he says yes. We know see the world from a miniature Blue Jay perspective. He jumps around and gets knocked down easily by particles and debris, but he’s able to get to Rocket Red. He climbs in his ear and whispers something in his ear-drum. Dmitri is freaked out, but he says it’s a good idea. Blue Jay sneaks out of Dmitri’s suit and inflates himself so he towers over everyone else and he gives a giant thumbs up to Silver Sorceress. She opens a portal and Blue Jay gets everyone to fall in it.
When they reappear, they find themselves in a vast field near a forest, expect the ground is dark blue, for some reason and the trees and dark purple. The Earth people look around in awe, but Silver Sorceress, Blue Jay and Mitch Wacky are indifferent. Not all parts of Angor are populated. They are close to Silver Sorceress’ hometown, deep in the woods. Their moment of quietness is quickly interrupted by Dreamslayer and Lord Havok and the fight starts again, but not for long. A mysterious woman (Rinko Kikuchi) flies in the sky and throws light beams at Dreamslayer and Lord Havok. They quickly leave. The woman salutes them and leaves as quickly as she arrived. The JLE realises they dodged a bullet there, but Dreamslayer is still out there.
The team walks in the forest trying to find the village, but soon find out that they are most likely lost. They decide to interrogate Mitch Wacky to try and learn what this all means. Wacky says he doesn’t know what they’re talking about, but he’s bullied by Rocket Red and Power Girl to give answers. He says he has always been hungry for power, so when Dreamslayer came to him with a proposal to give him Angor, he had to accept. He says he has no idea how it ended up with Dreamslayer bombing Angor, but he had been in the future and he has seen it, so it must be true and he doesn’t want it to happen again. They ask why he didn’t tell them about that when they asked earlier and Wacky says he was scared. Not far away from there, Dreamslayer spies them through Wacky’s eyes and he tells Lord Havok that he can’t lose the dummy. He’s the mastermind of the whole plan so they have no choice but to save them. Havok points out that the woman might still be around and he says it’s a risk he has to take. The JLE agrees that they must find Dreamslayer once again and defeat him once and for all. The two groups walk around the forest trying to find each other and the landscape gets weirder and weirder. Even Silver Sorceress and Blue Jay confess that it is irregular.
All of a sudden, the landscape disappears and they find themselves in a vacant lot and the two groups face each other. The mysterious woman is in the sky, it looks like her powers have ran off. She drops to the ground as the JLE engages with Dreamslayer and Lord Havok. The battle goes on and on and Crimson Fox tries yet again to the help, but serves no purpose in the battle. She decides to rush to the aid of the mysterious woman. Her name is Kimiyo Hoshi and she’s here to help them. She regains vigor and flies in the sky again. Lord Havok is weakened by the JLE and Dreamslayer starts flying to maybe get the upper hand. Rocket Red, Power Girl and Silver Sorceress go after him, joining Hoshi in the sky, while Blue Jay remains on the ground with Crimson Fox and Mitch Wacky. Blue Jay, believing Lord Havok is out of action, starts stretching himself so he can join the battle in the sky. He delivers a solid punch to Dreamslayer, but he feels something on his legs. He shrinks down and Lord Havok is attacking him as Crimson Fox is nowhere to be found. She’s hiding with Mitch Wacky and used her pheromones to attract him again. She refuses his advances and when he gets too insistent, she uses her claws to hit him, but accidentally kills him. She gets out of hiding just as Blue Jay delivers the final blow to Lord Havok.
In the sky, the battle is fierce as Dreamslayer uses his powers to weaken Rocket Red’s armour. Power Girl and Hoshi attack him relentlessly, to no avail. Rocket Red power thrusters stop and he starts to fall to the surface. Blue Jay increase his size to catch him. Power Girl heads to the ground to check up on him and he isn’t feeling well. Silver Sorceress and Hoshi team up to pin Dreamslayer to the ground. They find out that Dmitri isn’t feeling well. Silver Sorceress asks out loud that if they travelled in time, will he still be here when they go back and she says she has no idea out it happened. Hoshi says she has an idea. She urges Silver Sorceress to create a portal back to when they were when they travelled in time and she will do her thing. They ask themselves if they really trust her and Dmitri weakly says they must do it, or else they won’t save the world without him in this timeline. Silver Sorceress refuses, saying she’s going to be dead again if they travel in the future, but Dreamslayer gets back up and gets inside her head, saying he will try again to see if he conquer Earth and creates the portal himself. Hoshi uses her powers on the portal as they go in and the screen goes black.
When they reappear, they find themselves where they were when they travelled in time, only Mitch Wacky isn’t there. Silver Sorceress is still dead. Dreamslayer starts fighting them again and uses his powers against Rocket Red again and the same thing happens. Everyone works together to hold down Dreamslayer and in his last breath, Dmitri shoots a rocket directly in Dreamslayer’s face. He retreats and disappears. They try to reanimate Dmitri, but it’s too late. Dreamslayer messed up with his internal molecular structure and he’s gone for good. Crimson Fox is particularly shaken up by it. They look around and realise everything is the same as it was before, except Dmitri is dead and Dreamslayer is nowhere to be seen. Power Girl says they must go back to Earth now, to give them Dmitri’s body and to see what’s next. She reluctantly agrees and they all hand on to her as they leave Angor behind. Assuming Blue Jay crawled himself up somewhere on her, she doesn’t pay attention, but Blue Jay stayed behind, wandering around his former home. He looks at the horizon with Silver Sorceress’ body laying next to him.
A couple of days later, Crimson Fox, Captain Atom, Metamorpho and Power Girl are standing tall at Rocket Red’s funeral, where he’s viewed as a hero for all he did to serve planet Earth. During the following press conference, Crimson Fox announces that she is retiring for good, saying she doesn’t have what it takes, with encouragements from Captain Atom and Metamorpho. Power Girl also says she’ll be going back to her home world, it doesn’t look like Earth needs her protection anymore. The Justice League Europe is diminished, but they are as popular as ever, with only Captain Atom and Metamorpho remaining, saying they will do what it takes to keep Earth safe from whatever comes next.
Post-Credit Scene : Somewhere in the Universe, Dreamslayer is licking his wounds after losing against the JLE once again. He’s interrupted by Hoshi. They fight each other, but she quickly defeats him, he’s so worn down. Right before she delivers the final blow, he asks her who had the pleasure to kill him and she says her name is Doctor Light and she’s just getting started.
