Reaction: Solid numbers for this drama film. Thankfully, unlike most Meirad Tako films, the setting of this film did not require any extension set building or special effects, so the low cost helped this one reach profitability more easily than most of his films. That said, we suspect that the casting of Egerton and Bullock helped sell the film.
"While the ending of the film is a bit too abrupt, Attraction/Deception is a nice showcase for its cast and the chemistry they share together. Every actor suits their role well, even if some don't get as much screen-time as others." - Paul Landon, Film School Rejects
"Attraction/Deception starts off interestingly enough, but it just doesn't feel like it ends up really going anywhere. It feels a little incomplete. A lot happens early in the film, but it then just kind of ends." - Chris Mears, Slashfilm
"The film is not especially original, but the story and the characters work pretty well. Egerton makes for a fairly likable lead, even with his creepier actions, while Bullock makes the most of her role even if she doesn't always get a ton to do." - Stephen Ridley, Boston Globe
Rated R for language and sexuality/nudity
