Reaction: The strong box office overseas helped carried the film to a solid profit. We were able to keep the budget of the film pretty low thanks to the relatively affordable cast (at least compared to Ben Collins' last horror film, Burnt Dreams), as the horror genre isn't as star-driven as other genres.
"It takes a while to get going, but once the plot is moving and all of the characters are finally set up and introduced, Care of Death turns into a solid horror film that makes good use of its unsettling environment." - Andy Lewis, Cincinnati Enquirer
“Care of Death, especially in the beginning jumps from place to place too quickly. Jamie Bell’s character Jack makes dumb decisions throughout especially his means of entering the facility. The film picks up steam towards the end, but unfortunately for me it was too late.” - Jeremy Cousins, Collider
"The film probably has one twist too many and a couple more characters than it needs, but thanks to sound direction from David Gordon Green and a capable lead like Jamie Bell the film ends up being a mostly entertaining horror product." - Dave Manning, The Ridgefield Press
