In Development

Painkiller Jane: Wilmer Valderrama (Dead Space, The Arrival), Bruce Davison (The Great Alaskan Race, The Lords of Salem), Blair Brown ("Orange Is the New Black", "Fringe") and Jamie Chung (Every Secret Thing, "Lovecraft Country") will complete the cast of the action film Painkiller Jane. Valderrama will take on the double role as twin drug kingpins, Davison and Brown will play the parents of the title character (played by Jessica Chastain), and Chung will play a nurse who falls in love with the main character. Roy Horne wrote the script based on the comic series of the same name.

Corndog: Tyler James Williams (The Temptations, Mandingos), Kiernan Shipka (Life After Life, "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina") and Wayne Brady ("Black Lightning", 1982) have joined the Judd Apatow-helmed baseball rom-com, Corndog. Williams will play a baseball player, Brady will play a coach, and Shipka will play the sister of Noah Centineo's character. Jacob Jones penned the script.

Teen Titans: At the 2nd LRF Comic-Con, it was announced that Travis Knight (Bumblebee, Kubo and the Two Strings) had signed on to direct the latest DC Comics Universe team-up film, Teen Titans. The remaining questions surrounded which younger heroes would join the film. Now we know that Taron Egerton (Batman: Arkham, Attraction/Deception), Hailee Steinfeld (Huntress, The Crucible), Avan Jogia (Justice League International, "Now Apocalypse") and Asa Butterfield (The Young Pretender, The Tournament) have officially signed deals to star in the film. Egerton will reprise his role as Dick Grayson/Robin, Steinfeld will be back to her role as Helena Bertinell/Huntress, while Jogia will once again play Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle after having taken over the role in Justice League International (Aramis Knight played the character in Blue Beetle). Asa Butterfield has signed on to play Gar Logan AKA Beast Boy, with the character making his live-action film debut. APJ (Green Lantern Corps, The Birds) and Jimmy Ellis (The Devil's Revenge, One Day More) teamed up to write the film after having previously collaborated on Justice League Dark last season.

Task Force X: Speaking of the DC Comics Universe, the debut film of Season 19 will be Task Force X, a team-up film featuring various villains from the franchise. Guy Ritchie (Pulp, The Gentlemen) has been hired to direct the film. John Cusack (Batman: Caped Crusader, Lucky Luke and Billy the Kid), Clive Owen (Green Arrow, Halo: The Fall of Reach) and Halle Berry (Justice League International, Superman: The Man of Tomorrow) will return to their DC Comics Universe roles as Kirk Langstrom/Man-Bat, the Dark Archer, and Amanda Waller, respectively. Jimmy Ellis (The Devil's Revenge, One Day More) wrote the film.

Prince Natalie: Lily James (Mask of the Phantom, The Flash), Chris Pine (Of Rocks and Sand, McCain) and Zac Efron (Zoe Maye, The Greatest Showman) will lead the voice cast of the latest animated film from writer Jacob Jones (Whammy, Mask of the Phantom), Princess Natalie. The film tells the story of a young woman (voiced by Lily James) who becomes involved in the life of a pair of Russian princes, voiced by Pine and Efron. Television animator Lauren Faust ("Super Best Friends Forever", "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic") makes her feature directorial debut on the project.

Kansas City: Lucas Hedges (The Letter J, Blind Faith), Ana de Armas (The Mutation, The Black Cat) and Orlando Bloom (The Fantastic Four, Uncharted 2) will star in the early Season 19 release, Kansas City, a remake of the 2018 Korean film Burning. Hedges will play a young man who becomes reacquainted with a childhood friend, only to find himself embroiled in a mystery after she asks him to feed her cat while she goes on a trip. Ana de Armas will play the friend, while Bloom will play a mysterious man she met while away. David Robert Mitchell (Death Dream, Kurt & Courtney: All Apologies) has signed on to direct the film based on a script by Chad Taylor (The Black Cat, Worried Mind).
