The Roundup with Jeff Stockton (Season 18 Round 8)

Things are looking up for the studio after a few successful rounds, but it it too little too late? Here's The Roundup....

3. Box Office
All three films made money for the studio (making it 10 in a row). If there was more of this earlier in the season, maybe LRF wouldn't be on pace for its lowest grossing season in history.

2. Drawing Dion
While the supporting cast doesn't get much to work with (most aren't even named), the film does provide an interesting and unique leading role and challenge for rising star Lakeith Stanfield.

1. Green Arrow: SuperMax
Not only did I like the story of the film, which had been rumored for a WB film a long time ago, but was also the season's biggest hit yet. Here, APJ has made the concept his own, creating a fun DC Comics Universe entry.

3. Soundtracks
Looks like the studio has run out of steam on the soundtrack front after a first half that featured a whopping nine soundtracks. The second half has so far only featured two soundtracks, with none this round.

2. Blood in the Water
The movie felt kind of lazy to me, and is not one that will stand out in the shark film genre. I liked the casting and the setting, but that's about it. At least it made some money for the studio.

1. Box Office
Yes, this round was good, in fact the studio has now had 10 profitable films in a row - but, the first half of the season was a disaster that has set the season back too far in the accounting department.
