The Black Cat Strikes Again!: Utkarsh Ambudkar ("Ghosts", Marry Me), Holt McCallany (Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Cascade), Alia Shawkat ("Search Party", The Black Cat), Fran Drescher ("Indebted", After Class) and Choi Woo-shik (Parasite, Time to Hunt) will round out the cast of the upcoming Marvel Universe production, The Black Cat Strikes Again! Karyn Kusama is directing the Ana de Armas-led film based on a script by Chad Taylor.
Gathering of the Wolves: The cast of Tim Burton's werewolf fantasy has become even more star-studded with Jeremy Irons (Caesar, Haunted), Kevin Costner (McCain, Uncharted) and Shailene Woodley (Elysian, Escape the Unknown) joining Chris Pine and Anne Hathaway in the film. Irons will play a world reknowned scientist, Costner will play the father of Anne Hathaway's character, while Woodley will play Hathaway's best friend. Jacob Jones penned the film.
Tekken: Blood Feud: The official cast of the first theatrical Tekken film from LRF has begun trickling in with Lewis Tan (What We Were Promised, The Grind), Brian Tee (Bravo/Samurai, Shogun), Jessie Mei Li ("Shadow and Bone", Last Night in Soho), Katheryn Winnick (Visions, Carmilla) and Travis Fimmel (Death in the Shadows, Aliens vs. Predator: The First Hunt). Winnick, Tee and Le will reprise roles they played in some of the Tekken LRF NOW prequel films: Nina Williams, Kazuya Mishima and Ling Xiaoyu, respectively. Fimmel and Tan will play entrants in the latest installment of the fighting tournament: Jin Kazama and Paul Phoenix. Chad Stahelski (Painkiller Jane, John Wick: Chapater 3 - Parabellum) will direct the big screen entry from a script by Billy Cruder (Bad Dreams Come True, He Kills).
The Only Good Indians: Martin Sensmeier (Hex, The Creature), Amber Midthunder (Twisted Metal, "Roswell, New Mexico") and Mila Kunis (Free Spirit, Bad Dreams Come True) will star in the upcoming adaptation of horror novel The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones. The film will tell the story of a group of Native American men who are haunted by their past. Sensmeier will play a Blackfoot Native who has moved away from the reservation. Midthunder will play a co-worker of his. Kunis, meanwhile, will play Sensmeier's non-native wife. James Wan is producing the film, which will be directed by First Nations filmmaker Jeff Barnaby (Blood Quantum, Rhymes for Young Ghouls). Rene Menzie (Mexican Gothic, Lock Every Door) has penned the adaptation.
Northrock: Jamie Dornan (X-Men: The Cure, Police Story: Case Closed), Emma Watson (Ghost Stories, Time Passages) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Visions, Scion 2) have all joined an original fantasy project from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Swamp Thing, Kong: Skull Island) and writer Jimmy Ellis (The Void, Atlantis). Dornan and Watson will play two noble people who travel to the northern most part of the world, the kingdom of Northrock, and find themselves involved in contentious new land. Ejiofor will play one of the kingdom's fiercest warriors who has his sights set on acquiring more power for himself.
Open Hearts: Director Danny Boyle (Antarctica, Morrissey and Marr) will follow up his successful South Pole drama with a remake of the 2002 Danish drama, Open Hearts. A big name cast has been lined up to star in the project as well with Alexander Skarsgard (Justice League Dark, Halo 6), Elizabeth Olsen (Urban Cowboy, Coma), Miles Teller (Tokyo Rose, Julie) and Rebecca Hall (Mass Effect 3 - Part 2, Someone Else) all signing on. Skarsgard will play an emergency room doctor, Teller will play a young man paralyzed in a car crash, Olsen will play Teller's fiance, and Hall will play Skarsgard's wife. Roy Horne (Wish You Were Here, Wolf) penned the remake.
