The King of Iron Fist tournament in a legendary martial arts competition with the best fighters in the world for glory, honor and money. After disappearing following his skirmish with his inner demon Azazel, Jin Kazama has recently resurfaced recruiting many of the world's greatest fighters to help him on a perilous mission that will set him against his family members again.

Kyoto
A blonde woman dressed in black, Nina Williams (Katheryn Winnick), stands on the roof of a building and is looking intently into the distance with a special device at a girl dressed in an orange schoolgirl uniform. The girl, student Ling Xiaoyu (Jessie Mei Li), is running around the crowded streets of Kyoto with a worried face along with her trusty companion, a specially trained Panda. Meanwhile, people are surprised and amused to see this strange scene. Xiaoyu is as often happens late for her best friend Miharu Hirano's birthday party after she accidentally fell asleep on the sofa at home. Suddenly a black car tries to overwhelm her but the girl manages to dodge it with a great reflex and jumps on the back of the Panda. At this point they enter a narrow alley while the car is unable to pass and crashes violently against the wall.

However, Xiaoyu soon finds herself surrounded by many gunmen from the G-Corporation led by Anna Williams (Emily Beecham). Anna greets the girl with contempt and asks where Jin is hiding. Xiaoyu says she never saw him again making Anna laugh. At that precise moment a wanderer, with a dangling walk and an almost empty bottle of vodka in his hand, approaches asking politely if he can pass. The man has a blanket on his head to protect himself from the cold. Two armed men approach threatening to chase him away but the man throws the blanket and hits the two men first with the bottle and then with two strong punches, throwing them a few meters away. The man is revealed to be the fighter Paul Phoenix (Travis Fimmel). Paul turns to Xiaoyu telling her that he is there to save her and starts fighting with other gunmen. The girl initially looks at him with a confused air and then with a mischievous smile she throws her backpack to the ground saying in a low voice "Save me?". At this point the girl orders Panda to attack her and the girl joins the fight proving to be very agile and very skilled in the special martial arts Hakke Sho and Hika Ken. A soldier urges others to use weapons to kill them. Anna scolds them for their idiot behavior and orders them not to shoot because she wants Xiaoyu alive. At that moment she hears a female voice calling her behind her. As Anna spins around nervously, a powerful kick hits her in the jaw and knocks her to the ground. Nina greets her sister by asking if she has missed her and that it is always her pleasure to see her. Anna gets up and hits her back at her Nina saying it's a pleasure only when her sister's pretty face is hit. At that point the two women begin to fight each other. Meanwhile, Xiaoyu tries to escape the shots of a soldier who is intent on shooting her, even though she Anna had ordered not to. Paul realizes this and grabs a dead soldier and throws him at the one who was shooting at the girl. Later Xiaoyu finishes hitting the last gunmen and escapes with Paul and Panda taking advantage of the fight between the two Williams sisters.

The three catch up with Paul's jeep and run away at full speed. Xiaoyu asks Paul where they are going, but Paul doesn't answer because he's busy driving fast. Xiaoyu then asks what will become of Nina. At the same instant, a noise coming from the roof of the car, as if something had hit her, scares Xiaoyu. The camera shows that Nina has reached the car and landed on the roof of the van. Then they break through a gate and reach for a helicopter. The three get out of the jeep and at that moment Nina jumps off the roof of the vehicle and gives Paul a high-five while Xiaoyu and Panda were already in a defensive position. Paul tells the girl that Nina is with them and they get on the helicopter. Meanwhile, Anna watches the helicopter fly away as it wipes a streak of blood from her mouth and she instantly kills a gunman with a fit of rage by breaking his neck.

Inside the helicopter, Xiaoyu asks Nina where they are going but the woman replies that she will be explained to her in due course.

In the G-Corporation build, Kazuya Mishima is scornfully watching a TV interview in which his father Heihachi claims the Mishima Zaibatsu, introducing himself to the public as a benevolent benefactor who wants to repair the damage Jin and Kazuya have caused over the years. Then he is joined by Anna Williams who apologizes for the delay. Kazuya tells Anna to show her Xiaoyu but Anna takes a step back and tells that he captured her but then she managed to escape thanks to Paul and Nina. Kazuya gets angry and throws the desk in the air screaming that he wants to find him Jin's son. A moment later Kazuya takes his head in his hands because he has severe pains and powerful visions (where he sees demonic images of Heihachi, Devil Jin as well as a mysterious silhouette of a winged humanoid) which end after a few moments. Anna approaches and asks the man if she is okay insisting that these visions become more and more frequent. At that point Kazuya gets nervous and tries to hit her. However, the woman dodges the blow, which hits the wall creating a hole. Then Kazuya reminds her that she doesn't have to worry about him, but she has to worry about what will happen to her if she doesn't find Jin as promised. The woman says with a smile that she always keeps her promises and walks out the door.

Meanwhile, the helicopter lands near an isolated house in the Hida Mountains. Xiaoyu is eager to know where she is and Paul reassures her that it is a safe home. Paul gets off the helicopter opening a beer and enters the house while Xiaoyu strokes Panda on the head while a shadow appears behind them. The girl suddenly turns and finds herself facing a man with folded arms and a leopard-print mask, King II (Dave Bautista). The surprised girl tries to hit him by saying they have a score to settle from the last Iron Fist Tournament but King jumps and avoids the attack. At that point Nina who takes the girl by the arm and throws her to the ground screaming that they are not there to fight. As the girl gets up from her he asks why I'm there and sees that in front of her there is a sword stuck in the ground. She immediately recognizes that weapon and in fact Yoshimitsu (Mark Dacascos) appears in front of her. Yoshimitsu is the leader of a ninja lineage who has samurai armor like old Japanese warriors and a skull-like mask. Next to Yoshimitsu is also Kunimitsu (Pom Klementieff) with her face covered in a white fox mask. Xiaoyu is surprised to see Kunimitsu, as she appeared to have been dead or missing for some years.

A moment later someone else appears, a hooded man comes out of the house apologizing for keeping the mystery up to that moment. Surprised Xiaoyu screams Jin's name (Lewis Tan). In fact, the hooded man was Jin Kazama. She then she asks him what happened to him and that he looks awful. Jin tells the girl that he was close to death and that he is still paying the consequences. Then the group enters the house as Kunimitsu nods to Yoshimitsu and leaves by easily jumping into the trees to return to his village in the mountains. Jin then tells her why they were there: he tells her that he needs her. He tells her that when he was still in command of the Zaibatsu, he had hidden an archive of weapons and artifacts on an island. Jin says they are very dangerous and that he needs the girl to help him retrieve them before Heihachi Mishima finds out. While they are arguing, Panda starts scratching. At one point a silver ball falls to the ground and Paul asks the bear "Why don't you stop scratching? Do you have fleas, bear?" In response, Panda throws a powerful punch at the man, who flies into the air, while Xiaoyu laughs at him that she must never call him a "bear". Nina picks up the silver ball, saying it wasn't a flea. Jin yells that he's a G-Corporation tracker. At that moment Kunimitsu opens the door, seriously injured and says in a low voice "They are coming ...". Kunimitsu has a broken arm, it burns much of her body and her mask is nearly destroyed, revealing her facial features. Yoshimitsu takes a few steps to get closer to her but an explosion of her hits her causing her to explode, probably killing her. At that point Kazuya appears with Anna beside him.

Kazuya tells Jin that when news of her death reached him, it was too good to be true. Yoshimitsu rushes towards the two full of anger but Kazuya avoids the attack and advises them to look up. An army of Jack-7 cyborgs begins to land from the sky amidst the dust caused by the explosion. Anna orders the cyborgs to attack while she exchanges a defiant look with her sister. At this point the other fighters present begin to fight as Kazuya begins to approach her son Jin and Paul gets in the middle of her telling him that she cannot pass. Meanwhile, in the background Yoshimitsu stabs a cyborg with his sword, Xiaoyu destroys the head of another cyborg with a flying knee, and Panda fights bravely demonstrating his physical power. During the brief confrontation between Paul and Kazuya where the American ends up on the carpet, Jin starts to back away with his hands on his head, a voice in his head begins to disturb him. The devil gene within him has become much stronger and more powerful and Jin fears that if he engages in battle again, the devil will consume him forever. The devil often talks to Jin in his mind, trying to get him to give in to his anger and fight. Jin, desperate to keep his humanity, vehemently refuses to fight. At that moment, the man is attacked by a Jack-7 but Nina intervenes just in time to move Jin. Nina jumps on the cyborg's head, turning him around with her legs and then throws him to the ground as she tells Jin to start defending himself if he doesn't want to die. Jin, however, seems immersed in the demonic voice that speaks to him in his head and in the meantime another Jack-7 attacks Nina with her mobile fists. Suddenly, as Jin tries to get out of the battle, he is hit by a powerful blow from Kazuya that calls him just a coward. So, as long as his son is on the ground, he keeps hitting him until Jin begs him to stop. When Kazuya hears these words and laughs at his son, almost denying him. Kazuya takes his son by the neck and lifts him off the ground telling him that he will kill him once and for all. Meanwhile, the voice in Jin's head continues to whisper that it is time to kill. At that moment King intervenes, nudging Kazuya on the back and then with his submissive move moves towards him, blocking him and almost preventing him from breathing. At one point Kazuya manages to react and escapes King's grasp, who is hit with a series of very powerful punches. Behind them Jin starts screaming and starts to change his appearance taking on a semblance of demonic aspect and angrily approaches his father who prepares to hit him, who smiles saying that he finally recognizes his son. Nina arrives screaming not to, grabbing Jin and ordering Xiaoyu to lead him to the helicopter as she tries to restrain Kazuya. Paul says to move but Xiaoyu asks him what will become of the others. Paul tells her that she should care about Jin and that others should take care of themselves. Jin is nearly helpless due to the partial transformation and Xiaoyu helps him get to the helicopter. Nina tries to attack Kazuya, when King arrives again who tries to block Kazuya and orders her to go and tells her to do what is right. The helicopter leaves and Nina with a powerful jump manages to grab the plane just in time. Kazuya breaks free from King and hits him in a way that knocks him out and yells at Anna to stop them. Anna nods and takes a missile launcher from a briefcase. At that point, however, Nina says smiling "Bye bye .." pressing a button in her pocket causing a big explosion. The few Jack-7s still intact are destroyed as Anna is thrown several meters away and she risks falling into a ravine but she manages to hold on and not fall. Anna, then, while she tries to go up, sees that Kazuya is standing still looking at the sky, indifferent to the woman's difficulty. Anna then ironically tells him that she is fine and that she doesn't need help. Kazuya goes away muttering.

After the battle, inside Paul's helicopter, there is a moment of calm where everyone is sorry for King's likely death despite Nina saying she knew she knew. Xiaoyu remembers that Yoshimitsu is also missing but Paul tells her to look out the window where she sees the ninja following them thanks to her levitation ability. Nina turns on her laptop to look for some other rival Kazuya fighters who can help them with the disappearance of Kunimitsu and King and starts scrolling through the profiles of many other fighters from past tournaments. Paul tries to name Lee Chaolan and Lei Wulong but Nina shakes her head saying that the former appears to have disappeared while the other is engaged in a major case in Beijing of murdered people where he works as a detective. Then she names Julia Chang but she remembers that she is committed in South America against deforestation and is nowhere to be found. At one point Xiaoyu points to the laptop screen. "The Half French? Are you sure?" asks Nina. From the pilot's seat a scream from Paul shakes the aircraft, losing control of it for a moment. "Please no! That insufferable spoiled girl no!" Paul yells. Xiaoyu chuckles saying that if you really know her well, really well, she's not that bad. At that point Nina tries to contact Lili Rochefort (Peyton List). The girl responds with her typical French accent from her sumptuous room in a sleepy voice as she combs her blond hair with one hand. Nina tries to explain the situation but Lili responds by saying that she has to go to Paris to get a new dress with her butler Sebastian. The fighters, more than by Lili's words, are intrigued by her shadowy presence behind her. Paul, who had put on autopilot and had moved away from the others, asks who he is. From the dim light emerges a girl (Emma Dumont) with black hair, in a red bodice with two horns on her head. Her nails are colored with black nail polish and her eyes are outlined in red while her lips have dark purple lipstick. The girl is drinking from a goblet with some red liquid in it. "This is my sister Eliza," Lili says in a girlish voice. Eliza sighs saying no and that she has told her her story many times. At that point the two begin to argue and fight inside the room and the phone call ends. Paul first asks if for the others the liquid in the glass was wine or blood and then returns to the driver's seat saying in a knowing tone that Lili is really nice. At that point Jin begins to regain consciousness. Xiaoyu takes it out on a resigned Jin asking him why she didn't try to fight. Jin with an angry and threatening tone to take the demonic form of her says that she cannot fight because of the demon inside him and that he gains power every time he fights and that if he came out in all his power it would be a catastrophe. Nina calms Jin by telling him to stop while horns begin to grow in the young man's head. Paul tells the others that he is sorry to interrupt their discussion, warning that they had arrived at their destination, Usiyi Island in the North Pacific.

When they land on the island Paul says he needs fuel and Nina says there should be some on the island. She then she calls Yoshimitsu and orders Panda, Paul and Xiaoyu to stay with Jin. Yoshimitsu and Nina enter the woods and arrive at a basic species hidden in the vegetation. At one point the ninja says he is being followed by someone and rushes into the vegetation. A moment later he comes out holding Xiaoyu by the shirt. Nina snorts and scolds the girl. The girl, a bit annoyed, replies that Panda was left behind instead of her. The three enter the structure that contains all the artifacts to look for the number 333. As they enter Xiaoyu is surprised and Yoshimitsu comments that he was truly impressive. Xiaoyu, breathless, remains to observe the objects placed in that place. Nina comments that half of the stuff that was in that place shouldn't exist. Xiaoyu is thrilled to see those objects, such as the anti-gravity platform. When Nina reaches the container where the object should have been, she sees that it is empty and begins to worry, believing that someone had taken it before them. On the ground, near the container, Nina finds a white feather that gives off a turquoise light. When Nina touches the feathers, an alarm sounds saying "Intruder. Intruder." along with the noise of a chainsaw. Then a girl with pink hair and a purple dress arrives in front of them, equipped with a chainsaw in each arm and a pair of robotic wings and, in fact, that girl was an android and with her there were many tall identical clones . The three acknowledge that they were clones of Alisa Boskonovitch (Veronika Vernadskaya). Alisa was created by her father, Dr. Boskonovitch (with the features of his deceased daughter), to protect Jin. She is equipped with metal wings and thrusters on the legs and back and dangerous retractable chainsaws and explosive head. At this point the fight begins. Xiaoyiu tries to tell an android that they are friends with her but Nina warns her by telling her to fight because none of them are the real Alisa and that they are probably prototypes created by Mishima Zaibatsu. Yoshimitsu cuts off an android's head with his sword, but his head explodes laughing at the ninja being thrown a few meters away as Nina breaks another android's metal arm and then uses it to hit him. The android, however, shoots the other arm as if it were a missile and the woman crashes into the wall. Xiaoyu also appears to be in trouble. At some point Paul arrives with Panda to balance the situation and the androids are quickly defeated. Meanwhile, Jin, who also arrived with Paul, looks into his device for the artifact, but there is a strange error in the passcode. At some point, a poisonous gas begins to escape from the vents which begin to expand in all environments. All the characters are forced to flee quickly. Once outside, they realize that Nina is missing. As Paul punches a tree and destroys it in anger, Nina's voice is heard coming peacefully holding a half-destroyed head in her hands that can be used to recover important data. Xiaoyu laughs that Nina always manages to survive in any dangerous situation. The group enters the helicopter and Jin sets to work to retrieve some data from the android's head.

Meanwhile, at the G Corporation headquarters, Anna tells Kazuya that they are not the only ones looking into Heihachi Mishima's systems. At the same time, at the Mishima Zaibatsu headquarters, Heihachi's secretary informs him that unauthorized subjects had entered the archive. Heihachi then asks what they were looking for. The woman replies that they were looking for the artifact 333. Heihachi orders the woman to let them in and take the artifact, saying "Give the people what they want ... and they will come to you."

Mishima Zaibatsu, Tokyo, a few hours later.
An armored van breaks through the defenses and enters the building's parking lot. Special teams of Mishima surround the vehicle and start shooting. Meanwhile Kazuya and Anna are watching the scene at the G-Corporation headquarters with interest thanks to the hacked security cameras. Suddenly, from the van, Yoshimitsu comes out, who with super speed impales several men with his sword. Soon after, all the other fighters get out of the van and start fighting as Jin rushes into the building. Nina orders Xiaoyu to go with him.

At that point, a giant modified grizzly bear, named Kuma, is released as a last-ditch defense. Kuma roars and pounces on Paul with sharp nails but Panda steps in front of him and is hit by a powerful blow that also scratches his face and is rolled several meters away. Nina immediately rushes there to check on her friend's condition while Paul is also shot. Meanwhile, Yoshimitsu and Kuma are fighting. The bear ferociously attacks the ninja who manages to defend himself from blows with his sword until it escapes from his hand. As he is about to be hit, someone kicks the bear. The camera captures Lili Rochefort and Eliza who have arrived jumping off their personal plane, probably driven by butler Sebastian. Paul looks at Lili whispering "she will also be unpleasant but she is the strong girl". Lili tells Nina and the others to go inside the facility because they would take care of the bear. The two begin to wrestle with the powerful and resistant bear and become aware of a device on the animal's neck.

Jin e Xiaoyu walk through the corridors as Xiaoyu chases Jin to learn more about this powerful artifact when they arrive at the room where the artifact is. Jin says it was a mistake, the biggest mistake he ever made. In front of them, a blonde woman with angel wings is connected to a car with pipes. Xiaoyu, remembering the feather Nina found, asks who she is. Jin explains that her name is Angel (Erin Moriarty), the good part of her as her father Kazuya and the only thing that can counteract the devil gene that her family has within them. Jin reveals to Xiaoyu that Angel tried to save her father from the devil more than 20 years ago (In-Game Events: Tekken 2) as she is the only being in existence who can completely neutralize the devil gene. When he became the leader of the Zaibatsu, Jin tracked Angel down and locked her up, experimenting on her to find a way to harness her power against the devil's gene consumers. She wanted her to neutralize her she devil gene too after he destroyed Azazel (for which she needed her devil gene) and then kept her locked up. She says she hid it in the archive to save it and prevent Heihachi from finding it, but that wasn't enough. Then the two try to free her before it's too late, but she, in a whisper, says she already is. He strokes her head as she tells her not to worry about her, but about her friend. Jin turns and sees Heihachi surrounded by electric shocks holding Xiaoyu by her neck lifting her off the ground, greeting her granddaughter and saying that she was waiting for him. He then throws the girl on the wall with incredible power. Jin tries to help but is hit by Heihachi as he is called a pacifist. Heihachi throws his nephew to the ground and Xiaoyu intervenes by kicking him in the face. Heihachi throws her to the ground with a fist of her telling her not to meddle. Then he approaches Angel reminding Jin that she is owned by Mishima Zaibatsu and can do whatever she wants with it and invites Jin to get angry to unleash her inner demon. At this point she connects with another machine by connecting to Angel. Jin yells at the ninth thing she is trying to do. Heihachi inserts a code into the computer telling Jin that he wants to be a command, no longer just a human and full of potential. He wants to transfer Angel's power into his body so that he can exert his power to destroy the devil gene (and the devils within Jin and Kazuya) forever. A moment later a flash of light hits Heihachi. As Xiaoyu begins to regain consciousness, Heihachi laughs satanically surrounded by a blue aura and bright eyes. Furthermore, two wings were born on his back.

In the meantime, with a combined attack, the two girls manage to block and destroy the device, a gesture that makes the bear much more tame, and a moment later he faints from fatigue. The two compliment each other until Kazuya and Anna appear behind them and quickly knock them out and enter. Anna and Kazuya arrive at the Zaibatsu research laboratories. Kazuya, then, confirms that she has the feeling Jin was in that place. where Kazuya is struck by another powerful vision. He realizes that his visions of her came from Angel, who had been trying to contact him to help him. When Kazuya realizes that Angel is still alive, she looks shaken for a moment and part of him almost seems happy. Meanwhile, Heihachi is almost completely empowered by Angel's power. Kazuya and Anna run to the facility where Paul and the other fighters are facing the rest of Mishima's special teams. Kazuya and Paul begin to fight. Kazuya asks where Angel is. Paul, not knowing what he was talking about, says he knows nothing. Kazuya then replies that he was useless and breaks the American's back while Nina arrives late to help him. At that moment Anna attacks Nina saying that this will be the final showdown.

Anna attacks Nina but Nina manages to block her head and throw her at a steel column, seriously injuring her. When this happens Nina is almost sad about it and almost approaches her sister. Anna with a faint voice orders "Fire .." Suddenly the soldiers of the G-Corp burst into the room and open fire, hitting Nina, Panda and Yoshimitsu with bullets and the fighters fall to the ground. The fighters then lie dead in their own blood. Anna dies a few seconds later. Kazuya barely notices the carnage and hurries, her mind seems to have only Angel in mind. Kazuya begins looking for Angel, ordering the soldiers to stay in position. Meanwhile, Heihachi, grinning, states that the transfiguration was complete as he begins, thanks to his large white feathered wings, to fly. But Heihachi crashes soon after due to his wings having disappeared at any moment. Angel yells that Heihachi has been deemed unworthy and will never receive her power. Heihachi, enraged at having lost his newly acquired powers, promises that his powers will be his and that he will witness his own glory. As Heihachi tries to use the computer to find a solution, Xiaoyu stands up and kicks him hard in the face, causing him to pass out. Xiaoyu helps Jin free Angel. Angel rebels by saying not to touch her and crashing Jin.

Angel has not forgiven Jin for the torture he subjected her to in the past and declares him irredeemable because he would like to use his existence and his light again to end the world war that he himself created. Then she says that she just wanted to help take the devil gene out of Kazuya and was tortured for it. Jin apologizes by saying that he needed her to fight the Devil Gene and stating that that was why he went to her. Angel tells him that he only thinks of himself and that the world should get rid of him. Angel, as he speaks, uses his powers to allow dead fighters to be forgiven for their sins and become angels, claiming that they died because of him and that they must live in peace.

Nina, Paul, Panda, Anna and Yoshimitsu, now angels, attack Jin, Xiaoyu and Heihachi, the latter yelling at Jin to stop standing there and help them. Jin kneels down, saying that Angel was right and that he deserved it all. Anna (transformed) blames him for her sins and prepares to attack him. Kazuya, as soon as he arrives, grabs Anna's leg telling her that Jin was a Mishima and that her bad deeds were also the fault of her family, throwing Anna at Yoshimitsu. Kazuya and Heihachi, annoyed by the fact that Jin did nothing to help them, begin to insult him. Jin, even if trying not to do it, provoked by the insults, turns into Devil Jin. The latter begins to unleash his fury against the angels. Devil Jin frees Angel. The latter, furious, accumulates her powers and then grabs it and, destroying one side of the building, the two begin to fight outside, in the night sky. Jin claims that there is nothing more she can do for him, but Angel claims that she tried to help Kazuya but says that he is lost, as she has almost the same personality as Heihachi. Angel then tells him that there is only one person who can stop the Devil's Gene: him, Jin Kazama. Then, a huge explosion occurs in the sky. Following the explosion, Angel appears to have disappeared and Jin falls from the sky into the desert.

Nina wakes up in the destroyed building looking around and sees so much confusion next to her. Kazuya is in the car with Anna, intent on looking in the mirror. Xiaoyu and Panda watch the night-shrouded city from the side where the building was destroyed as they listen to her friend Miharu Hirano on the phone and are joined by the real Alisa. Lili and Eliza are at their house fighting while having fun. Paul, in a bar, had started drinking beer again. Nina climbs to the roof of a building, standing looking at the city, intent on finding Jin Kazama, who had disappeared. The fighters think they have only dreamed of being angels. Finally, Angel's voice is heard saying "Who can save the man who can't save himself?"
