Batman Beyond: Rounding out the cast of the latest DC Comics Universe production will be Molly Parker (Lock Every Door, A Lost Sense of Heaven), Amandla Stenberg (The Crucible, AGOS: A Game of Survival) and David Tennant (Peter and the Shadow Thieves, Resident Evil 2). Parker will play the mother of the lead, played by Tanner Buchanan. Stenberg will play a classmate of Buchanan's Terry McGinnis. Tennant's role has not yet been disclosed. Neill Blomkamp is directing the film from a script by Wyatt Allen. The film is based on the animated series of the same name.
House Without End: Joe Keery (Days Without End, 7 Days), Brittany O'Grady (Bad Dreams Come True, "White Lotus"), Alyvia Alyn Lind (Maximum Ride: School's Out Forever, Visions) and Indya Moore (Escape Room: Tournament of Champions, "Pose") have joined the latest horror film from writer Ben Collins. Being a horror film, not all of them are expected to survive the Jodie Comer-headlined story. Fede Alvarez is directing the film.
Audible: Mahershala Ali (Justice League Unlimited, The Devil's Revenge) is set to headline the film Audible. The film will tell the true story of the Texas School for the Deaf winning a football state championship. Ali will play the team's head coach. Also signing on to the film so far are Jharrel Jerome (Concrete Cowboy, L.A. Rex), Paul Mescal (The Lost Daughter, "Normal People") and Forrest Goodluck (Tenth Circle, Cherry). They will a few of the top players on the team. Chloe Zhao (He Kills, Eternals) is directing the film. The script was written by Jimmy Ellis (The Mobster's Violin, The Void) and Chad Taylor (Run For Your Life, The Black Cat Strikes Again!).
Thrill of the Kill: Alex Wolff (Tough Girl, Corndog) is set to star in a film written by Alex Conn (Tough Girl, The Case Against 8) for the 8th time as he has been cast in the lead role of Thrill of the Kill. Jim Carrey (Golden Girl, My Musical Adventure in Another World as an Old Man!) and Ron Livingston ("Loudermilk", The Tender Bar) will also star in the new horror/thriller. Wolff will play a teenager who goes to a new church led by Carrey. Livingston will play Wolff's father. Cary Joji Fukunaga (Tokyo Rose, Dark Places).
EarthBound: Duncan Jones (Recursion, INFINITY) is set to direct the second film from writer Joshua Collins (Gigantor), and adaptation of the cult Nintendo video game, EarthBound. The story covers a group of kids traveling the world to try to defeat a cosmic destroyer. Winslow Fegley (8-Bit Christmas, Nightbrooks), Mckenna Grace (The Mobster's Violin, Ghost Stories) and Beth Behrs ("2 Broke Girls", "The Neighborhood") have signed onto the film. Fegley will play the film's hero, Ness, who starts the adventure with his baseball bat and trusty cap when he discovers a meteorite crash. Grace will play a damsel in distress who joins the quest. Behrs, meanwhile, will play Ness' mother.
Broadway: Quentin Tarantino (The Second Life of John Wilkes Booth, Death and All His Friends) is back at work for LRF, signing on to direct the gangster noir Broadway. As usual, Tarantino has lined up an all-star cast, starting with Margot Robbie (The Birds, Crimson), Bradley Cooper (Wolf, Emergency), Michael B. Jordan (Kiss Me Katie, Nexus) and Will Poulter (Life of a Champion, October Crisis). Robbie will play a former Broadway dancer adjusting to domestic life after marrying a mob boss, who will be played by Bradley Cooper. Jordan will play a jazz musician who gets roped into organized crime, while Poulter will play a low-level boxer who makes ends meet working for Cooper's organization as an enforcer. Chad Taylor (Run For Your Life, The Black Cat Sreiukes Again!) penned the original film.
