Hair: Marc Blucas (Prey, Tumulus), Patina Miller ("Madam Secretary", The Many Saints of Newark) and Rihanna (Broadway, Ocean's Eight) will round out the cast of the big screen musical Hair. Blucas will play an Army officer that the tribe encounters, while Rihanna will perform the film's famous opening number, "Age of Aquarius". Michel Gondry directs from a script by Lon Charles.
Caesar Part II: Cillian Murphy (Caesar, The Refugee) and Steve Coogan (Caesar, Greed) are set to return for Part II of the Julius Caesar story as the conniving Cato and Cicero, respectively. Will Poulter (Broadway, Life of a Champion Part 2) and Martin Donovan (Flash Gordon, Tenet) will be new faces to the series. Poulter will play Brutus, the son of Caesar's long-time mistress Servilia, who suspects Caesar may be his father. Christopher Nolan is directing the film, which was once again written by the duo of John Malone and Chad Taylor.
Fantastic Four: Doom: Joe Mazzello (Bohemian Rhapsody, Undrafted), Robert Patrick (Namor the Sub-Mariner, Hunter) and Laura Berlin ("Vikings: Valhalla") will join Fantastic Four: Doom. Patrick will reprise his recurring Marvel Universe role as Admiral Westbrook. Mazzello will play a government official tasked with being the liaison between the government and the Fantastic Four team. Berlin's role has not yet been made clear. Gareth Edwards is directing the film from a script by Mark Newton.
The Life After: Adrien Brody (Batman: Arkham, Someone Else) and Whoopi Goldberg (Furlough, Nobody's Fool) will join Denzel Washington and Alicia Vikander in the intimate sci-fi horro project, The Life After. Brody will play Vikander's husband, while Goldberg will play a conspiracy theorist. Meirad Tako wrote the film, which is being directed by Robert Eggers. Guillermo del Toro is lending as talents to the project as a producer.
Black Hole: Tye Sheridan (Queen Mary, Ranger), Thomasin McKenzie (Death of the Artist, Shouts from the Well) and Sydney Sweeney (Gracie, Poison Ivy) are set to headline an adaptation of the cult comic mini-seres, Black Hole. The comic tells the story of a group of teenagers living in the suburbs as a new sexually transmitted disease begins to be passed through the area that results in disformities. Sheridan will play a likable but shy burnout, while McKenzie will play a popular girl in school. Sweeney will play a young artist Sheridan is drawn to. David Robert Mitchell (Kansas City, Kurt & Courtney: All Apologies) is set to direct the film, reuniting him with writer John Malone (Risico, Supergirl) after previous teaming on Season 6 Best Picture winner, Death Dream.
Batman: In the Shadows: After nine seasons away from the role, Jake Gyllenhaal (Control, Batman: Arkham) is finally back as Bruce Wayne / Batman. In this film he will square off against Viggo Mortensen (The Little Girl Who Was Too Fond of Matches, Tenth Circle), leader of the League of Assassins. Taron Egerton (Teen Titans, Attraction/Deception) and Bryan Cranston (Bad Dreams Come True, Uncharted 3) are also expected to be back, reprising their roles as Dick Grayson / Robin and Jim Gordon, respectively. Joseph Kosinski (The Andromeda Strain, At the Mountains of Madness) is back behind the camera, once again working off a script by APJ (Plastic Man 2: Electric Boogaloo, Green Arrow: SuperMax).
