Reaction: Financially, this second part was about as successful as Part One, so the studio doesn't really have any complaints. Just like the first film, it's not a huge hit, but earned a decent little profit.
"An improvement on Part One in all aspects, the visuals are still amazing. Riley Keough was a welcome inclusion to the cast as Circe. It completed the story set up in Part One. Fassbender’s Odysseus is some of his best work and that continued here. Doster, Taylor and Scott should be happy with what they accomplished with these two films." - J. Darrell Ellington, Behind the Camera
"As the second part of one big story, Odysseus - Part Two, more or less, has the same strengths and faults as the half. It's still too hung up on minor details and exposition, and not focused enough on pacing and momentum. A good editor could have made the two parts of Odysseus into one long, epic film, rather than two films that each don't bring enough excitement to the table." - Sam Morris, Oregonian
"Thankfully a lot of the world-building and character set-up was taken care of with the first film last season, so now director Ridley Scott and star Michael Fassbender can actually have some fun with the title character's odyssey. While I wish the entire adventure from the two films was told a bit tighter and more succinctly, it was still mostly enjoyable." - Dave Vrosky, Den of Geek
Rated PG-13 for violence, sexual content and thematic elements
