Reaction: Writing the biggest bomb of Season 22 (so far) was probably not how writer Jimmy Ellis wanted to close out what has been a pretty successful season for him.

"Extra Ordinary is a film with an interesting premise. However, it does very little with it the premise. It really didn't even feel like a feature story outside of its length. There is no urgency for the characters, so the film just putters along at a snail's pace until it simply ends." - Frank Estelle, Boca Breeze

"The cast is all very talented in Extra Ordinary. That said, I don't feel like the story ever really gives them room to grow into their characters. Extra Ordinary isn't a train-wreck by any means, but based on its fun concept I was expecting the film to be a lot of more than it ended up." - Alonzo Lane, The Star-Ledger

"Extra Ordinary plays like a typical McKay comedic satire about Superheroes that's needed nowadays. But what's gets in the way is that is doesn't far enough with it. Steve Carell is amazing as the group leader for the wannabe supes while also leading a talented cast like Rudd who almost steals the show at times. Overall, it's a film that I think most will appreciate than love and those who don't get it will most likely leave the theater before it gets going." - Harold McDaniels, Pioneer Press

Rated PG-13 for mild violence and some langauge
