The Roundup with Jeff Stockton (Season 25 Round 1)

The historic 25th season of Last Resort Films has finally begun. Here's The Roundup....

3. Box Office
The box office was looking pretty damn good until The Last of the Mohicans. Even with that flop though, things aren't off to too bad of a start in Season 25.

2. Nomad
I was surprised that I liked this one as much as I did. It's a Marvel character I had never heard of told in a fashion that isn't very superhero-y. I guess that's what I liked about it. Nomad had realistic stakes and goals - rather than trying to save the world, he was trying to save a mother and her daughter, as well as himself.

1. The Fall Guy: Trouble in Tahiti
This was a good sequel to a pretty good movie. The action was better this time around and it was funnier. The only department the first film had over this entry was the main villain department.

3. The Last of the Mohicans
The Last of the Mohicans felt far too by-the-numbers to really hold much impact. It's a story we've seen/heard/read told in a way that's been done too many times before.

2. Award Contenders
No award contenders here (aside from maybe something like Most Wanted Sequel for The Fall Guy: Trouble in Tahiti).

1. Soundtracks
No soundtracks here.
