Tomato Can: John Leguizamo (Heavy Rain, Stray Dogs), Jharrel Jerome (Among Us, Audible) and Bruce McGill (American Underdog, The Big Ugly) are set to round out the cast of the female boxing film, Tomato Can. Leguizamo will play a boxing trainer, Jerome will play the husband of Jenna Ortega's character, while McGill will play a doctor. Derek Cianfrance directs from a script by Mo Buck.
Wonder Woman: Labyrinth: Some more familiar faces are set to return for the Wonder Woman sequel with William Petersen (Wonder Woman, "CSI: Vegas"), Tracy Spiridakos (Wonder Woman, "Chicago P.D."), Ashley Romans (Wonder Woman, "NOS4A2") and Liam Cunningham (Wonder Woman, The Last Voyage of the Demeter) all back as General Philip Darnell, Artemis, Nubia and Zeus, respectively. Harry Hamlin (80 for Brady, "Mayfair Witches") will be a new face to the films, with the former Clash of the Titans star cast as the President of the United States. Kathryn Bigelow directs the DC Comics Universe adaptation from a script by D.R. Cobb.
Namor the Sub-Mariner: Imperius Rex: The sequel to Namor the Sub-Mariner will be introducing a handful of new characters. Tracy Letts (Theater Kids, Revival) will play a corrupt US Senator, Casper Van Dien (The Most Dangerous Game, The 2nd) will play a military contractor, and Andrew Koji ("Warrior", Snake Eyes) will play Atlantean warrior Attuma. Meanwhile, Isaiah Washington (Namor the Sub-Mariner, Corsicana) will be back as Caleb Alexander. JC Chandor is back as director, once again working from a script by John Malone.
The Giver of Stars: The Emma Watson-led novel adaptation has added Jack Quaid (Artemis, Citizen), Gustaf Skarsgard (Batman: Knightfall, The House of Romanov), Janelle Monae (Black Lightning, Antebellum) and McCabe Slye (Destroyer, The Miseducation of Cameron Post) to its ensemble cast. The period film based on the novel by Jojo Meyes was penned by Abbie Q and is being directed by Lorene Scafaria.
Idlewild Ranch: Billy Magnussen (Desert Dreams, Kazaria: Burns of the Lavita), Reese Witherspoon (The Youngest Hart, Kylie Dates New York City) and Kyle Chandler (The Hippie Preacher, Revival) are set to headline Idlewild Ranch, an original western mystery film from writer Jacob Jones (Get Georgie, Tara's Web) and directors Joel & Ethan Coen (No Laughing Matter, The Lady in the Lake). Magnussen will play a cowboy who begins to investigate the disappearance of horses from the ranch. Chandler will play a family man accused of stealing the horses, while Witherspoon will play his wife.
Swamp Thing 2: After 15 seasons, DC's Swamp Thing is finally getting a sequel. Alexander Skarsgard (The House of Romanov, Open Hearts) will be back in the title role with Keira Knightley (American Dragon, Justice League Dark) also returning as his love interest. This time around, Swamp Thing will be facing off against "The Rot" a force of decay that takes over a small town. Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Swamp Thing, Northrock) is once again directing from a script by APJ (Batman: Knightfall, Batgirl).
