Reaction: Flick is a rare LRF project that cost less than $10 million, which helped the film lose less than $1 million at the box office. While the film technically lost money, with a loss that small we basically view it as having broken even.
"A charming & cute romance drama that boasts excellent chemistry between Taylor Russell and Madelyn Cline. While the film's enjoyable, it misses opportunities to fully develop its characters and some plot points. For example, Flick's failing aspiration to be a writer, Abby's search for direction, and Oscar's limited screen time. Nevertheless, it's decent enough but it had the potential to be even better."- Frank Estelle, Boca Breeze
"An excellent romance for the modern romance genre today. I loved the small, talented cast as they deliver forward a brisk pace and value to, who without them, would be an ordinary love story at its end." -
Scarlett Perez, Reelz Channel
"Flick features a talented and charming young trio to lead its cast, and they all give good performances with what they are given to do. That's about all the praise I have for the film though, as it is lacking in the story and plot department. Not much ever really happens, which keeps the drama and the romance from ever really hitting any high notes." - Robert Avery, San Jose MercuryRated PG-13 for language, alcohol content and thematic elements
