Reaction: Wonder Woman: Labyrinth is another much needed hit for the studio in a tumultuous 27th season. Based on the box office of Batman: Knightfall and now Wonder Woman: Labyrinth, it is safe to say that the DC Comics Universe is still going strong even after 25 seasons of films.
"I loved that Wonder Woman: Labyrinth never forgets that its characters are deeply rooted in Greek mythology. Every action sequence in the film is a memorable thrill-ride, which makes this one even better than the first film for me. I'm excited to see how director Kathryn Bigelow and writer D.R. Cobb will try to top this one in the future." - Dave Manning, Ridgefield Press
"While the film is a little light on character development at times, Labyrinth uses the development that took place in the first film and throws the audience right into a film packed to the brim with fun action set pieces with high stakes. Alexandra Daddario once again shows that she has the charm, and just enough action chops, to be the definitive live-action Wonder Woman." - Tony Klesko, San Diego Union-Tribune
"Although Wonder Woman 2 is a decent superhero film, it falls short of improving from the previous installment. Alexandra Daddario delivers a stellar performance as Diana, but her character lacks well-developed personal goals. The stakes in the film feel arbitrary and the villain, Ares, is unimpressive. While fans of the first movie may enjoy it, it fails to differentiate itself from other films in the DCU franchise." - Aubrey Jade-Mitchell, The Sun
Rated PG-13 for intense fantasy violence
