In Development

Idlewild Ranch: Rounding out the cast of the latest directorial effort from the Coen Brothers will be Holt McCallany (Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six, Cascade) and Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Letters, The Old Way). McCallany will play a police officer, while Armstrong will play the daughter of the characters played by Reese Witherspoon and Kyle Chandler. The film was written by Jacob Jones.

Swamp Thing 2: The latest DC Comics Universe sequel has also completed its casting with Michael Berryman (The Evil Within, The Lords of Salem), Steve Railsback (Gone Are the Days, Neo Ned) and Dale Dickey (Spark of Madness, Teslin Yukon) joining Swamp Thing 2. Dickey and Railsback will play locals of the Louisiana setting, while Berryman will be playing the Phantom Stranger from DC Comics. Jordan Vogt-Roberts is back to direct, once again from a script by APJ.

Task Force X: Jungleland: Several past DC Comics Universe villains are set to reprise their previous roles for Task Force X: Jungleland. Karl Glusman (Something and/or Nothing, The Producer) is back as Firefly, Cristin Milioti (The Flash #2, The Kiss Quotient) as the Golden Glider, Scott Adkins (Mortal Kombat II, Green Arrow) as Contantin Drakon,  and Gustaf Skarsgard (Batman: Knightfall, The House of Romanov) is back as Victor Zsasz. Guy Ritchie directs the Jimmy Ellis-penned film.

D.I.C.K.: Noah Centineo (Corndog, To The Max), Ajiona Alexus (Breaking In, "Black Mafia Family") and Raul Esparza (Cocaine Cowboys, American Psycho the Musical) have joined the Adam Sandler-led dark comedy from director Chris Morris and writer Jacob Jones. Centineo will play a neighborhood bully who becomes the head of security for the new country Adam Sandler's character forms in his backyard. Esparza will play a local college professor, while Alexus will play a stripper.

Gas Bar Blues: Tom Hanks (Revival, Namor the Sub-Mariner: Imperius Rex), fresh off the success of the second Namor the Sub-Mariner film, is set to re-team with his frequent director Ron Howard (Undefeated Abe, The Beatles) on a remake of the 2003 French-Canadian film, Gaz Bar Blues. Hanks will play the owner of a family-run gas station suffering from early onset Parkinson's disease. Jesse Plemons (Miracles, Justice League Unlimited), Harry Melling (The Pale Blue Eye, "The Queen's Gambit") and Finn Wolfhard (Gigantor, Strawberry High) have also been cast in the project, as the three sons of Hanks' character. The film was written by Mo Buck (The Passenger, Death of a Comic).

The Hunchback of Notre Dame: Following the success of previous animated musical film adaptations, writer Walter McKnight (Anastasia, Pocahontas) is back with another one. This time he will be tackling a live-action remake of the animated Disney musical version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. After an exhaustive casting search, Taron Egerton (Batman: Knightfall, Nightwing) will don extensive makeup and prosthetics to play the title character, Quasimodo. Joining Egerton in the film will be Hailee Steinfeld (Birds of Prey, The Crucible) as the beautiful young gypsie woman Esmeralda, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Queen Margot, L.A. Rex) as the honorable Captain Phoebus, and Christopher Walken (Silver Surfer: The Power Cosmic, Jersey Devil) as the villainous Judge Frollo. After some behind the scenes drama (that will surely be covered in next season's Gossip Rag), the film's initial director was set to be Chris Weitz (Operation Finale, The Golden Compass), but he has been replaced at the start of principal photography with Sam Taylor-Johnson (Fifty Shades of Grey, A Million Little Pieces).
