In Development

American Playboy: The cast of Damien Chazelle and Dwight Gallo's Hugh Hefner biopic, American Playboy, has been completed with the additions of Cuba Gooding Jr. ("The People vs. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story", American Gangster), Lili Simmons (Eclipse, "Banshee")and Ashley Greene (In Dubious Battle, Burying the Ex). Gooding will play famed journalist and author Alex Haley who conducted many famous interviews for the magazine. Simmons and Greene will add some sex appeal to the proceedings. Simmons will portray model Barbi Benton who dated Hefner, while Greene will play the wife of Eldon Sellers (Jesse Plemons).

Easy Money: Alexia Fast (Jack Reacher, The Captive), Glen Powell (Everybody Wants Some!!, The Informers) and Matthew Modine (Without Remorse, The Dark Knight Rises) have rounded out the cast of the Safdie Brothers' Robert Pattinson-led Easy Money remake. Fast will play Pattinson's love interest, Powell will play her on and off boyfriend and Modine will play Powell's investment banker father.

Tumulus: Keanu Reeves has more company in David Slade and Clive Steinbeck's upcoming supernatural thriller, Tumulus. Jeremy Davies (Bunny Lake is Missing, "American Gods") will play a professor who is an expert on the burial mound near Reeves' new home. Richard Dreyfuss (Very Good Girls, Zipper) will play the property's former owner. Marc Blucas (Sleeping with Other People, Brawl in Cell Block 99) will play a local police officer.

Hawkman: Following the box office failure of Gorky Park, Last Resort Films has decided to go with Taylor Kitsch (Only the Brave, "True Detective") for the title role in Hawkman. He will be joined by Jessica Biel (Invisible Monsters, White Jazz), who will play his love interest and eventual Hawkgirl. Len Wiseman directs from an APJ screenplay.

Welcome to Paradise: Richard Linklater (Boyhood, Everybody Wants Some!!) has been hired to direct Welcome to Paradise, the debut from writer Billy Armstrong. The film will tell the story of a group of teenage punk runaways. Asa Butterfield (The Space Between Us, Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children) and Angourie Rice (Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Nice Guys) have signed on to play two of the lead roles.

Femme Fatale: Last Resort Films has announced that Derek Cianfrance (The Place Beyond the Pines, The Light Between Oceans) will direct a biopic of actress/model Edie Sedgwick. Suki Waterhouse (The Bad Batch, Zombieworld) has been cast as Sedgwick, while Jared Leto (Blade Runner 2049, Suicide Squad) and Shia LaBeouf (Libra, The Associate) have also joined the film playing Andy Warhol and Bob Dylan respectively. Lon Charles (Velvet) wrote the script.
