In Development

The Prisoner: Christopher Nolan and John Malone have rounded out the cast for their adaptation of the classic British television series The Prisoner with the additions of Pedro Pascal ("Narcos", Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Mia Wasikowska (Alice Through the Looking Glass, Crimson Peak), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Concussion, Miss Sloane) and Justin Theroux (The Girl on the Train, "The Leftovers"). No word yet on who they are playing other than that they are all portraying residents of the mysterious Village the main character finds himself trapped in.

Dracula Lives: Last Resort Films' first sequel, Dracula Lives, has added Madelaine Petsch ("Riverdale", Polaroid) and Richard Madden ("Game of Thrones", Cinderella) to the cast. Petsch will play Lucy Westenra, while Madden will play Jonathan Harker. The story is said to somewhat follow Bram Stoker's original novel.

Into Thin Air: Domhnall Gleeson and Morgan Freeman have joined the cast of the Alex Garland-directed, James Morgan-penned time travel thriller Into Thin Air. Gleeson will portray a time travel expert and Freeman will portray Viggo Mortensen's FBI superior.

The Informers: The abnormally large cast list for The Informers continues to slowly fill out, this time adding Brady Corbet (Flicker, Simon Killer), Dora Madison Burge ("Chicago Fire", Everybody Wants Some!!) and Michael Shannon (Blood Meridian, The Raven in the Night). Corbet will play a young man who gets involved in a kidnapping plot with Shannon and Burge. Elizabeth Wood (White Girl) directs from a John Malone script.

Amelie: Wes Anderson (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom) has just signed on to direct a remake of the 2001 French film Amelie penned by Ann Morrow. Leading the cast will be Saoirse Ronan (Ladybird, Brooklyn) as the peculiar titular character and Lucas Hedges (Manchester by the Sea, The Hunt) as her love interest, Nino.

Metal Gear Solid: Last Resort Films is finally going to bring video game adaptation Metal Gear Solid to the big screen after years of development hell at various studios. Joseph Kosinski (Only the Brave, Oblivion) has been hired to direct the film with Chris Evans (The Cry of the Owl, Captain America: Civil War), Joel Kinnaman (Suicide Squad, "The Killing") and Harrison Ford (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Blade Runner 2049) amongst the actors leading the cast. Evans will play Solid Snake, hero of the story. Kinnaman will play the villainous Liqud Snake. Meanwhile, Harrison Ford will play Colonel Campbell, who brings Solid Snake out of retirement for a top secret mission. Mark Newton wrote the script.
