7 Days: Laura Dern ("Big Little Lies", Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Joe Keery (After Everything, "Stranger Things") and Mckenna Grace (Scion, I, Tonya) have all joined the Bryan Cranston-led thriller 7 Days. Dern will play a grieving mother, Keery will play a gun dealer, while Grace will play the daughter of Bryan Cranston and Julianne Moore. S. Craig Zahler directs the film from a script adapted by Mo Buck.
The Hazel Wood: Niki Caro's upcoming fairy tale-inspired film, The Hazel Wood, has added Douglas Booth (Mary Shelley, Loving Vincent), Michelle Yeoh (The Grind, Star Trek: Discovery), Jessica Sula (Split, The Lovers) and Thomas Jane (Heavy Rain, "The Expanse") to its ensemble cast. The film is based on the novel by Melissa Albert, with the adaptation penned by rookie writer Grim O'Grady.
The Queen of the Night: Emma Watson (Guilt, The Cry of the Owl) is set to star as a talented opera singer in 1880s Paris in this adaptation of Alexander Chee's novel, The Queen of the Night. Jean Dujardin (La Resistance, The Wolf of Wall Street) and Matt Smith (Batman: Caped Crusader, Burial Rites) have also joined the film in supporting roles. Dujardin will play a composer, while Smith will play a man Watson's singer has a relationship with. Joe Wright (And Then There Were None, A Farewell to Arms) is directing the film from a script by H.G. Hansen (Alex + Ada, Rachel Rising).
Parasite: Emmy Rossum (Rachel Rising, Booster Gold) and Jennifer Connelly (Deprogramming, Only the Brave) have been cast in the upcoming horror film, Parasite, from director David Robert Mitchell (It Follows, Under the Silver Lake) and writer Andrew Doster (Reality, Sisters). Rossum will star as a young woman who goes on vacation to an island in the Balkans. Connelly will play an eccentric woman they encounter on their trip.
Uncharted 2: The highly anticipated sequel to the smash hit Uncharted is finally on the way. Ryan Reynolds (Uncharted, The Two Souls), Brie Larson (Heart of Stone, Uncharted) and Bryan Cranston (Batman: Caped Crusader, Triple Identity) are all set to return in this follow-up, which will see Reynolds' Nathan Drake quest to locate Marco Polo's lost fleet and a relic known as the Cintimani Stone. Brad Peyton (Rampage, Uncharted) is back in the director's chair, with the script once again written by APJ (Batman: Caped Crusader, Huntress).
