Reaction: Decent but not spectacular numbers for this romantic comedy. The studio doesn't have a lot of experience in the genre, but this one is now the highest grossing of the four films in the genre produced by LRF.
"This film plays like a romantic comedy hits compilation. While there are some clever moments, it feels like we've seen most of the moments in this one before countless times. If you're a rom-com fan, you'll like this one, but it certainly didn't appeal to me." - Eric Marsh, Denver Post
"The film is pretty formulaic, although that's to be expected in the genre. Reese Witherspoon is her usual charming self and director Nancy Meyers is a veteran in the genre, teaming to make a competent film out of the first script from writer Walter McKnight." - Allen Poole, AV Club
"Kylie Dates New York City gets bonus points from me for the absurdness of some of the dates Witherspoon finds herself on. I was expecting to be bored by this one, but the colorful characters and Witherspoon's charm kept this one way more entertaining than I was expecting, making a solid date movie." - Jeremy Raren, RottenTomatoes.com
Rated PG-13 for mild language and some sexual references
