Reaction: Well, that makes three in a row in the loss column. The fantasy and drama genre combination has been pretty spotty for the studio, to put it kindly. Odette and Kindred both lost the studio a lot of money, while films like Sweet Tooth and Before and After managed to break even or turn a slight profit.

"One Day More is going to be a tricky proposition for the more cynical audience members. It covers some of the same ground as films like Albert Brooks' Defending Your Life, but One Day More doesn't really have the right slant to make it all work." - Richard Park, Globe and Mail

"It is nice to see John Malkovich in a lead role once again for a change. He manages the films more emotional moments well, and most of the supporting cast all get at least one moment where they get to show off their talents." - Ken Decker, Denver Post

"The film may be a bit too saccharine for modern audiences, but if you can get past the gooey sentimentality of it all there are some nice performances and some good, positive messages." - Vincent Kerr, Washington Post

Rated PG-13 for some language and violence
