Reaction: With a small mostly unknown cast and crew, this film was pretty inexpensive to produce. We thought the film would be profitable, but we certainly weren't expecting the film to eclipse $100 million at the worldwide box office.

“The cliché romantic story of a brave man saving the damsel in distress is used here once more, and it does not help this film. I was hoping for a good performance from Holland but the performances felt stiff especially from Holland and Norman.” - Francis McLaughlin, The Guardian

"While the story feels fairly superficial and even a little silly at times, it still works based on the strengths of the performances of Tom Holland and Kiernan Shipka, especially." - Desmond Rodgers, TIME Magazine

"The Journey is a bit of a choppy one. Some parts work, while others don't. Some of the characters' actions elicited some heavy eye rolls, but at least I can say I was never bored." - Charles Triano, Los Angeles Times

Rated PG-13 for language, some violence and thematic material
