Time Out!: Rachel Sennott (Bodies Bodies Bodies, "The Idol"), Will Arnett (Jurassic Park: Another Adventure, Delaware) and rapper Eminem (The Interview, 8 Mile) are set to round out the cast of the latest film from the Safdie Brothers. In the darkly comedic crime thriller, Sennott will play the TV daughter of the main character, a sitcom star played by Patrick Wilson. Arnett will play a movie producer, while Eminem will play a villain in the film as a drug dealer that Wilson's character owes a considerable sum of money to. The film was written by Mo Buck and Chad Taylor.
Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius: Nickelodeon adaptation Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius has added the likes of Ravi Cabot-Conyers ("#BlackAF, Ode to Joy), Jeremy Maguire ("Modern Family", I'm Not Here), Jaidyn Triplett ("iCarly", 5150) and Mark DeCarlo (Ballbuster, A Cloud So High) to its ensemble cast in supporting roles. Julian Hilliard will play the title character in the live-action film that hails from director Pete Docter and writer Jacob Jones.
Pompeii: Ian McShane (Swamp Thing, Kingmaker Chronicles), Tobias Menzies (Judas Iscariot, Death of the Artist) and John Bradley (Supergirl, Moonfall) have signed on to join the historical disaster film, Pompeii. McShane will play Pliner the Elder, who assists the hero (played by George MacKay) in solving a mystery. Bradley will play McShane's nephew, while Menzies will have a villainous role as an aqueduct worker who is not happy with MacKay's character as his new supervisor. Francis Lawrence directs from a script by Mark Newton. The film is based on the novel by Robert Harris.
Anastasia: The adaptation of the animated musical film, Anastasia, has continued to add to its cast with the likes of Oliver Platt (Someone Else, Alan Wake), Russell Brand (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Peter and the Shadow Thieves), Julie Christie (But What Am I?, Odette) and Lucy Davis ("The Villains of Valley View", "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina") joining the project. Platt will play the mentor of Harris Dickinson's character, Brand will play the henchman of villain Rasputin (played by Jim Carrey), Christie will play Anastasia's grandmother, while Davis' character is Platt's love interest. Bryce Dallas Howard is directing from a script by Walter McKnight.
The Maid: Anthony Ramos (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, In the Heights), Katherine Waterston (Sleeping Beauties, Adr1ft), Cary Elwes (The Night Swim, Wolfenstein) and Jonathan Banks (Winter's Displeasure, Firestorm) have signed on to the cast of The Maid. The film tells the story of the investigation of a murder in an upscale hotel. Susanne Bier directs from a script by Rachel Hallett Hardcastle. The film is based on the novel by Nita Prose.
Territory: Kelly Macdonald (Carte Blanche, Ghost Town), Dwight Yoakam (The Punisher: Last Exit, The Punisher) and Clayne Crawford (Task Force X: Chaos and Madness, Escape the Unknown) have joined the Vince Vaughn and Grace Dove led mystery film, Territory. Macdonald will play Vaughn's wife with Crawford as her ne'er-do-well brother. Yoakam, meanwhile, will play Vaughn's police superior. S. Craig Zahler directs the film from a story by Dwight Gallo and Jimmy Ellis.
