Reaction: Dark Comedy films tend to struggle at the box office, historically, and Time Out! appears to be no different. We were hoping for numbers closer to other Buck/Taylor collaborations like Doctor Love and Calamity, but instead ended up with numbers closer to their only other box office flop, A Following.

"'TIME OUT!' is a gripping on-the-edge thriller by the talented Safdie brothers. With a star-studded cast including Ben Stiller, Williams, and Mackey and an outstanding performance by Slim Shady, it is undoubtedly a highlight in Buck's and Taylor's writing career. From start to finish, the film never fails to captivate and impress the audience. Bravo indeed!" - Robert Avery, San Jose Mercury

"Time Out! can be a bit disjointed and too clever for its own good at times. That said, I loved that the film gave Patrick Wilson a big (non-horror) starring role to showcase his immense talents. He's absolutely fearless in the role, making you feel for him even though he isn't particularly likable - only great actors can manage that, and Patrick Wilson proves he is one here." - Dave Manning, Ridgefield Press

"Despite the strong writing from a team made up of two of LRF's greatest writers, Mo Buck and Chad Taylor, I couldn't help but find Time Out to be a bit hollow and unfulfilling. I think that issue for me stemmed from how generally unlikable and unrelatable the majority of the characters are. So while the film was strong from a technical perspective, I just just didn't find myself emotionally involved." - Chrissy Lane, Manhattan Mercury

Rated R for violence, language, sexuality/nudity, drug content and thematic material
