Scion 3: To round out the cast of the highly-anticipated Scion 3, the filmmakers have brought back Liv Tyler (Scion 2, "Harlots") from the previous film and added recent GVA nominee Wes Studi (Hostiles, "Nez Perce") in a new role. Tyler will be reprising her role as one of the Agoran hybrids and the mother of Harris Dickinson's character, while Studi will play the mysterious father of Kelsey Asbille's Selene. Jeff Nichols is directing from a script by John Malone and Chad Taylor.
The Mutation: Katie Cassidy ("Arrow", The Scribbler), Kyle Gallner ("Outsiders", The Finest Hours) and Robert Englund (The Midnight Man, The Funhouse Massacre) have all signed on to Guillermo del Toro's latest fantasy horror, The Mutation. Gallner and Cassidy will play friends of the main characters, while Englund will play a priest. Ben Collins wrote the script.
Ypsilanti: The mysterious new thriller from writer Dwight Gallo and director David Slade has added Kyle Chandler (Ghost Town, Nevada, Iowa) and Hayley Atwell (Rachel Rising, Reality) to the cast. Chandler will play an FBI agent and Atwell will play a woman whose sister has gone missing.
Under Pressure: Melanie Laurent and Mo Buck's cycling drama has signed Nathalie Emmanuel (The Titan, "Game of Thrones"), Ben Mendelsohn (Black Dublin, Halo 2) and Alec Baldwin (Dino Crisis 2, Mission: Impossible - Fallout) to supporting roles. Laurent will play a cyclist, Mendelsohn will play the personal trainer of Emma Stone's lead character, and Baldwin will play Stone's father.
AGOS: A Game of Survival: Gemma Arterton (The Wolfman, Silver Surfer), Michelle Rodriguez (Widows, The Fate of the Furious), John Travolta (Gotti, I Am Wrath) and Suki Waterhouse (Zombieworld, Femme Fatale) have all signed on to the ensemble cast of the reality show-themed action film from director Michael Bay and writer Jacob Jones.
The Mask: A new film based on the comic series The Mask is officially set to hit the big screen later this season. Michael Cera (The Death of the Honest Man, Paradiso) and Michael Shannon (Obsession, Heavy Rain) have already signed on to the film. Cera will play Stanley Ipkis (played by Jim Carrey in the original), a young man looking for a gift for his girlfriend, who stumbles upon the magical mask. Shannon will play a detective who becomes side-tracked on his organized crime investigation by the crimes committed by the mask. Tim Miller (Bioshock, Deadpool) has signed on to direct the film from a script by Giovanni Garcia (Sandbox).
