Reaction: Looking at the numbers, foreign territory audiences clearly just didn't go for the concept of the film, but it's not a major loss financially. It's just the first film to lose money for writer Wyatt Allen though since his debut An Eye For An Eye back in Season 19.

"Camp Manhood is a fine film. This type of coming-of-age story is a time-tested genre and, while this may not reinvent the wheel, it feels like it would've easily fit in with a crop of similar films from the '80s and '90s. The character of Hannah ultimately could've used some refinement, in terms of both the resolution of her arc and the casting. Richardson is good but seems a little old for the role of a high schooler at this point." - Chrissy Lane, Manhattan Mercury

"Camp Manhood is a watchable film, but it didn't leave much of an impression on me. Jacob Tremblay's main character never came across as likable to me (too mopey) while the supporting characters mostly felt one-note. It's coming-of-age qualities work okay, but not enough to stand against among the crowd." - Justin Rodriguez, Detroit Free Press

"Camp Manhood is a predictable film for the most part, but there is still plenty of stuff to enjoy. The cast all play their roles well - you like the characters you're supposed to like and despise the ones you're supposed to dislike. I especially liked Haley Lu Richardson's Hannah, who despite her 'dream girl' character qualities somehow felt the most real to me." - Charlie Sage, HBC-TV

Rated R for language, sexual content/nudity, some violent content and thematic material
