Reaction: This film could have gone pretty poorly at the box office with how poorly the last few RoboCop and Terminator projects outside of LRF have performed. Thankfully this project faired better with a decent little profit at the box office.
"Does the plot make any sense? Not at all. But it was still a dumb, silly, fun time at the movies for me. Patrick Wilson absolutely nailed the role of Alex Murphy aka RoboCop. I hope it does well enough at the box office to see more of his take as the character in a sequel." - Dave Manning, Ridgefield Press
"The concept of this film is a fun one, but the details feel so mailed in and inconsistent that it never reaches its potential. The audience is rarely given a reason why events are happening outside of contrived reasoning that is obviously there just to fit the universes together." - Brenton Smalls, Playboy
"While I shouldn't be surprised that Robert Rodriguez is the director to a 'leave-your-brain-at-the-door' vs. type movie, but I just couldn't ignore too many plot holes, Easter eggs, and vibes of AVP to even commit to do so. I love Wilson as Murphy & Nyong'o as the next female badass but that's about it" - Mitch Ramsey, NerdWire
Rated R for violence and language
