Task Force X: Chaos and Madness: Rounding out the cast of the Task Force X sequel just ahead of its release is Karl Glusman (Grayson, Wolf), Lea Seydoux (Task Force X, Our Father), Yvonne Strahovski (Floyd Monroe, Task Force X), Herizen Guardiola ("Lost Husband", "Dare Me") and Summer Bishil ("The Magicians", Under the Silver Lake). Glusman, Seydoux and Strahovski will be reprising previous DC Comics Universe roles - Firefly, Sasha Bordeaux and Kate Spencer - while Guardiola and Bishil will be playing new characters to the franchise, Azucar and Hyena. Guy Ritchie is once again directing from a script by Alex Conn.
The Giver: Ross Lynch (Watch Hill, Beartown) and Kaitlyn Dever (Blue is the Warmest Color, Happy Birthday) have signed on for supporting roles in the new adaptation of The Giver from director Lana Wachowski and writer Alex Conn. They will play the friends of the main character played by Timothee Chalamet.
We Were Never Here: Jane Seymour (Wish You Were Here, Friendsgiving), Gabriel Byrne (Life After Life, Skyrim) and Mena Massoud ("Reprisal", Rookie's Road) will complete the cast of We Were Never Here from director Patty Jenkins, writer HG Hansen and producer David Fincher. Seymour and Byrne will play the parents of David Fincher, whil Massoud will play a tourist who encounters the main characters. The film is based on the novel by Andrea Bartz.
The Culture: Jack Black (Sunny Days, Hands on a Hard Body) and Wesley Snipes (The Fall Guy, Coming 2 America) will join brothers Alex and Nat Wolff in Jim Jarmusch's The Culture. Jack Black will play the brothers' musician father who joins a band with his sons while Snipes will play a music agent. The film was written by Jacob Jones.
Uncharted 4: The "Brenaissance" continues with Brendan Fraser (A Reputation, Buried Child) signing on to a major supporting role in Uncharted 4. He will play the older brother of Nathan Drake, played by Ryan Reynolds. Jack Dylan Grazer (Gigantor, Uncharted 3) and Justin Prentice (Red Farm, "13 Reasons Why") have also signed onto the film. Grazer will be back as young Nathan Drake, reprising his role from Uncharted 3, while Prentice will a young version of Fraser's character. Brad Peyton is once again directing the video game adaptation from an adaptation by APJ.
Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six: Lucas Hedges (Spider-Man, Kansas City), Elle Fanning (Klondike, Spider-Man), Matthew McConaughey (Spider-Man, Hands on a Hard Body) and Ansel Elgort (Buried Child, Spider-Man) are all set to return for a sequel to the Season 19 hit, Spider-Man. Hedges will be back as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, Fanning as Gwen Stacy, McConaughey as billionaire Norman Osborne, and Elgort as Harry Osborn. If the title of the film is any indicator, Spider-Man is expected to face off against a team of villains in this sequel. Damien Chazelle (Spider-Man, Oklahoma!) is back as director along with writers D.R. Cobb (Wonder Woman, Constantine: The Hellblazer) and Chad Taylor (Broadway, The Black Cat Strikes Again!) also returning.
