The House of Romanov: Gustaf Skarsgard (The Boy in the Suitcase, Resident Evil 3), George MacKay (Mexican Gothic, Antarctica), Matthew Macfadyen ("Succession", The Assistant) and Shantel VanSanten ("For All Mankind", "The Boys") have joined The House of Romanov to complete its cast. Skarsgard will play the brother of the Russian Tsar (played by his real life brother Alexander Skarsgard), VanSanten will play Gustaf's wife, Macfadyen will play a Russian politician and MacKay will play a soldier who develops a relationship with the oldest daughter of the family he's helping imprison. Sam Mendes directs from a script by John Malone and Ben Collins.
Final End: Oakes Fegley (Akira, The War with Grandpa), Brenda Song ("Dollface", Secret Obsession) and Jena Malone (Wolf, Every Secret Thing) are set to round out the cast of the Liam Neeson drama vehicle, Final End. The film hails from director Taylor Sheridan and writer Rachel Hallett Hardcastle.
Camp Manhood: Also completing its cast is the teen romance film, Camp Manhood. Cara Buono ("Stranger Things", Long Time) and Damian Lewis (Someone Else, The Crucible) have signed on to the project playing the mother of Jacob Tremblay's character and the owner of the summer camp, respectively. The film was written by Wyatt Allen and is being directed by Luca Guadagnino.
Task Force X: Chaos and Madness: Several familiar faces from the DC Comics Universe are expected to appear in the sequel to Task Force X. The first of those names will Halle Berry (Task Force X, Green Arrow: SuperMax), Ben Foster (Hillside, Task Force X), Clayne Crawford (Task Force X, Escape the Unknown) and John David Washington (Bastion, Task Force X). They will be reprising their previous roles as Amanda Waller, Heatwave, Elongated Man and Black Spider, respectively. Guy Ritchie (Pulp, Task Force X) is back behind the cameras once again from a script by Jimmy Ellis (Who Watches the Watchmen, Grayson).
The Giver: Timothee Chalamet (The Betrothed, Atlantis) and Morgan Freeman (Into Thin Air, Mr. Big) are set to headline a new, more adult-oriented adaptation of the famed young adult novel The Giver. Lana Wachowski (The Matrix Resurrections, Jupiter Ascending) is set to direct the project from a script by Alex Conn (Thrill of the Kill, Blue is the Warmest Color). Chalamet will play the main character, Jonas, a young man chosen to become the new "Giver". Freeman will play the elderly current Giver, the man in charge of keeping memories of the past.
We Were Never Here: Filmmaker Patty Jenkins (The Water Cure, Odette) is set to direct her 5th film for LRF. This one is an adaptation of the psychological thriller novel by Andrea Bartz. Jennifer Lawrence (Still Lives, Recursion) and Nathalie Emmanuel (Wish You Were Here, Under Pressure) have been hired to star in the film as two friends who take a backtripping trip that goes wrong - coincidentally similar to another trip they took years prior. Lakeith Stanfield (Firestorm, Drawing Dion) is also set to appear in the film as the new boyfriend of Nathalie Emmanuel's character. The film will be produced by David Fincher (Shouts from the Well, Heights). The adaptation was penned by HG Hansen (Maximum Ride: School's Out Forever, Sabbatical Recovery), his first film since Season 19 and his first solo-writing effort since Seaosn 16.
