Home Before Dark: Alyvia Alyn Lind (The Liberation of Evil, House Without End), Jonathan Bailey ("Bridgerton", The Mercy), Suki Waterhouse (Golden Girl, Kazaria: Burns of the Lavita) and Franka Potente (Bioshock, The Conjuring 2) have joined the ensemble cast of the Margot Robbie and Oliver Jackson-Cohen-led thriller/mystery Home Before Dark. Issa Lopez directs the film based on the novel by Riley Sager. The adaptation was penned by Rene Menzie and Harmony Winters.
Norse: Valhalla: The Norse mythology epic Norse: Valhalla has Naveen Andrews ("The Dropout", Diana), Iain Glen (Green Arrow 2: Hunters, The Lost Girls), Lena Headey (Ghost Stories, Ubik) and Meghan Ory ("Chesapeake Shores", Dead Rising: Watchtower) to its large cast. Andrews will play a warrior, Glen will play a powerful viking, Headey will play Odin's wife, while Ory will Bjorn's wife. Martin Campbell directs the film from a script by Jimmy Ellis.
The Passenger: Vincent D'Onofrio (American Dragon, The Only Good Indians), Stephen Root (The Guest List, Haven) and Leslie Manville (A Farewell to Arms, Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris) have joined Ari Aster's latest film, a dark horror-drama based on the novel by Patrick Senecal. D'Onofrio and Manville will play the parents of the main character, played by Robert Pattinson, while Root will play a friendly mechanic. Mo Buck penned the script.
Zero Hour: Carey Mulligan (No Promises in the Wind, Run) and Gemma Chan (Among Us, Odysseus - Part One) have joined Zero Hour, a thriller where some people have the ability to visually see how much time people have left to live. Mulligan will play the first person to ever have the ability while Chan will play one of the shady agents trying to track down who has the ability. Yann Demange directs from a script by Chad Taylor and Matt Parker.
Desert Dreams: The Daisy Edgar-Jones-led period show biz drama Desert Dreams has added William H. Macy (The Hulk 2, Spawn 2: Payback), Danny McBride (Rodeo, Sleeping Beauties) and David Dastmalchian (Plastic Man 2: Electric Boogaloo, Bunker 17) to its cast. Macy will play the film's director, McBride will play the agent of Jessica Biel's character, while Dastmalchian will play a studio executive tasked with silently observing the set - literally. David Mackenzie directs from a script by John Malone and Jimmy Ellis.
Detroit: Become Human: Visionary director Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi video game adaptation, Detroit: Become Human, has added Samara Weaving (The Devil's Run, The Brilliant Friend), Barry Keoghan (The Terminal Spy, Under Pressure), Woody Harrelson (Free the Chicago Seven!, Everything Will Be Alright), Tyler James Williams (Arizona, Hillside) and Dacre Montgomery (Letters, The Flash #2) to its large supporting cast. Weaving will play North, an android helping Markus (played by Michael B. Jordan). Keoghan will play an android working at a theme park, Harrelson will play a man who buys an android to take care of his daughter, while Williams and Montgomery will play friends of Weaving's character. Jack Slipter penned the film.
